10 | Food Drive Coordinator - November: Every November RMAE collects food items for the local senior citizens. Each grade is assigned a different needed food item (List TBD) You will be responsible for 1) Communicate/remind (via your class coordinator) your class parents about the assigned food items for our class 2) Collect food items from classroom boxes and hold on to them until distribution day 3) Help sort food items into delivery boxes 4) Help wrap the delivery boxesa | |||

13 | Community Service Day Coordinators - Spring: 1-2 volunteers to coordinate and plan, with the Teacher, PTO Community Service Day Chair and Classroom Coordinator, a day of giving back and learning for the class. Role includes selecting a project, contacting non-profit agencies, sending out sign-up sheets for supplies and volunteers. The planning process starts in November with a brief meeting, intensifies in February ending in a full day spent with the students, their teacher and parent volunteers in April/May. Be a key part of this amazing day and experience the joy of coming together and making a difference. Ms. Schwinn already has many ideas to help! | |||
14 | Random Acts of Kindness Event Coordinator - May: You will be the primary organizer of this event. 3-4 weeks prior to the event, you need to get in touch with your teacher to discuss the specifics. You are responsible for organizing an event for the school that would show kindness to our community (e.g. collect toiletries for the senior center, etc.). You will receive help from class coordinator (for emails and signup sheets) send out notices to class parents. | |||

17 | 100 Days Party - February 5, 2019 Hooray we made it through 100 days of school!!! Responsible for assisting teachers and Ms. Clarke's 100 day coordiantor to plan an entire day of activities focusing on the number 100. | |||

21 | Green Team Coordinator: This year each class is paired up with another class to help complete one of 5 Project Learning Tree (PLT) Green Schools Investigations. We will be the only school in the Mountain area and all Jeffco to earn this PLT recognition and you can help be a part of this amazing goal. Parent volunteers will work with their class to help teach, organize, prepare activities/projects to complete their investigation. Kindergarten is paired with 4th grade. Talk with Ms. Schwinn for more specifics. | |||
