Pacing Guidance
2
3
* This document is to be used as a reference. Lessons have been paced out to see how many can be reasonably accomplished within the course of our school year.
4
5
* It is recommended that classroom pacing follow this document closely, with the understanding that field trips, school-wide events, and weather may impact the days on which lessons are completed. Therefore, FLEX days have been included in each quarter.
6
7
* FLEX days are to be used to catch up on pacing, review previously taught lessons, continue moving ahead with lessons, or completing fluency or progress monitoring. UFLI lessons or assessments should still be taught/given on FLEX days.
8
9
* The expectation is that teachers will be within +/- 2 lessons of the numbers listed for each quarter in the orange box to the side of the calendar.
10
11
* When lessons have more than 1 option (ex. 35a, 35b, 35c) teachers should choose the option that best fits the needs of their students. These are notated with ** on each grade level and are included in blue to the side of the calendar.
Lessons 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41 (based on grade level scope and sequence)
