The distribution of app store downloads and revenue across top chart ranks follows a predictive curve. With the help of data from our data partners, we can determine what this curve looks like. As a result, we're able to get estimates at every rank position.

The only way for us to measure the accuracy of our data is to use the MAPE (Median Absolute Percentage Error). We calculate the percentage of error between the actual downloads we get from our partners with the estimations we get after data modelization and look at the median for a given country.
