It is a continuation of concepts from Beginning, but with more independence and emphasis on the development of individual artistic style. This is the preparatory course for AP Studio Art. AP Studio Art: Drawing, 2D Art & Design, 3D Art & DesignAlexis Knudsen aknudsen@cv.k12.ca.us11-12; better for 12C or higher in Advanced Studio Art/Advanced Sculpture/Advanced Ceramics OR teacher permission. Click here for instructions on how to get teacher permission.Capstone high school visual arts class. Very rigorous, fast paced, and concept-oriented. Requires at least 5 hours a week of work outside of class to keep up with deadlines. College credit for passing scores on AP portfolio exam. Drawing vs. 2D Design vs. 3D Design is a question of the student's personal style and preferred materials. Drawing focuses on mark making and creating depth on the two-dimensional surface (can be digital painting). 2D Design focuses on line, shape, color, composition, and balance (can be digital design work). 3D Design focuses on sculptural (3D) artwork.
