GENERAL NOTES
34
You must have at least four quarters of undergraduate work remaining at Stanford AFTER the quarter in which your IDMEN proposal is submitted; the IDMEN may not be your secondary major.
35

36
Plan, letter of support from Primary Advisor, and current unofficial Stanford transcript.

38
39
3)
All courses listed on this form must be taken for a letter grade if offered by the instructor. Minimum
40
Grade Point Average (GPA) for all courses in Engineering Fundamentals and Engineering Depth (combined) is a 2.0.
41
4)Approved math courses can be found at https://ughb.stanford.edu/courses on the Math page. Up to one unit of the math requirement may be waived via proposal or petition if the program contains more than 17 units of science.
42
5)Approved Science courses can be found at https://ughb.stanford.edu/courses on the Science page. Only one social/behavioral sciences course may be used for the major, and must be above the level of an intro course. Introsems are not allowed.

7)IDMEN programs must include a course approved to fullfill the "Writing in the Major" (WIM) requirement. WIM courses within the appropriate subject for your program can be found by checking requirements of related majors in the UGHB <https://ughb.stanford.edu/majors-minors/major-programs>.
86
8)All courses listed in Engineering Depth must be offerings from the School of Engineering. ENGR 1 or 2, IntroSems and Soph College courses are not allowed to count in the major program.
87
9)Must include at least one course that is intended as a “capstone/senior project” course in a SoE major, with content and activities that are relevant to your proposed goals. See specific pre-approved capstone courses used for other SoE majors on the individual major requirement pages at https://ughb.stanford.edu/majors-minors/major-programs. Some capstones (MS&E 108 and BIOE 141A/B) are not allowed for IDMEN students (by rule of the MS&E and BIOE departments).
