INTRODUCTION

The aim of this database is to enable Primary Health Care (PHC) orientation of health systems and GHI proposals through enabling access to up-to-date resources on the PHC approach. The system of classification of resources is designed to facilitated both functional and topic related search capacity, with boundaries set by the lever descriptions and recommended policies and interventions in the Operational Framework for Primary Health Care (WHO and UNICEF, 2020).

USE INSTRUCTIONS

There are 3 ways of searching this database: browse by question, browse by theme and browse by graph.
1. Browse by question: For each of the 14 levers in the Operational Framework for Primary Health Care (WHO and UNICEF, 2020) there is a question that is aligned to the lever description as it is in the PHC Framework. Then, there are level 2 questions which focus on supporting a PHC-oriented approach to adapting GHI and donor funding to national context & needs. For the 10 operational levers, the questions are classified into the four strategic themes (political commitment, governance & policy, resource allocation and community engagement). Lastly, each question is linked to relevant resources that can be used to find relevant information.
2. Browse by theme: Inspired by the 4 strategic levers, 4 strategic themes are identified. For each of the themes it is explained how they link to the actions of the 10 operational frameworks.
3. Browse by graphic: The primary health care theory of change is shown.
These browsing options allow the user to access the synopsis of relevant information sources, so they can be compared.
