9	Below you will find the items needed for recital. Shoes and anything with an * before it is an item that should be brought from home. All other items will be supplied by TDS. If you are missing something on the list of supplied items, please inform a TDS staff member as soon as possible.

11	LEOTARDS IF NEEDED:
12	Nude or black leotards may be ordered through TDS at the front desk.

14	HAIR:
15	Hair should be secured very well with spray, gel, and bobby pins. We don’t want a hair malfunction to distract our dancers on stage. All “side” ponytails and buns should be pulled to the dancer’s left side and parted over dancer's right eye.

18	SOCKS:
19	Any socks worn with shoes that are not part of the costume should be a cut that falls below the visible line of the shoe.

21	EARRINGS:
22	Diamond-like stud earrings will be the only jewelry allowed on stage.

24	UNDERGARMENTS:
25	Please remember - no underwear under costumes for younger dancers! We don’t want days of the week peeking out from under costumes. Older dancers - nude thongs are appropriate if you have multiple costume changes, and nude bras with clear straps will work if you need more support. Boys - black banded briefs or boxer-briefs will work. No underwear showing on stage from anyone!

27	MAKEUP:
28	Makeup should be heavier since stage lights white-out facial features. Natural tones please, no blue eye shadow. Grays and browns work well on eyes. All female dancers must wear lipstick, and remember that lip gloss can make hair stick to your face while dancing. For the younger dancers, parents, please use your own discretion. (Preschool-2nd grade.) A little blush for color and lipstick works. Mascara for the “brave” parents.

31	Make sure all pieces of your dancer’s costume are securely attached. Have your child try on their costume for you to see if it needs altering. Please get your child’s costume hanging as soon as you bring it home to allow wrinkles to work out. It is helpful to keep all costume accessories together in a large Ziploc, or some other container. Label everything with your name and dance class.
