Last Minute Updates and Details (double click this cell to read the entire message) ***** There is no decent water source at the site without snow. The easiest way to keep water going is for everyone to bring a 1 gallon jug of water along. If the water freezes, we just cut the plastic and melt the ice in the water pot. Extra jugs can be left behind for the next trip. ***** The weather looks mild this weekend. Highs in the mid 30s and night time lows in the 20s. This is definitely "wet cold" weather. ***** I spoke with the land owner about snow and ice conditions and he said the driveway is a skate rink due to the recent rain and freeze. There is also a lot of ice on the path to the site. Please be sure to bring cleats, spikes, or whatever you need to get traction on the ice. ***** Since this is private land and we have a large group this weekend, I will be renting a porta poty. It will be parked in the driveway area where you enter the woods. I know most of your are comfortable or even prefer just going in the woods LNT style and burning your paper, that's fine too. It would be much appreciated if everyone could pitch in $5 towards the rental. It goes a long way to help keep the property clean. Thanks!
