KateNever leave an appointment without making your next appointment. If it ends up being a day you can't do, you can reschedule it, but you won't go too long before your next helpful appointment simply because you forgot or don't feel you have time to make the call to get something on the books.Nice! -Ashley E.

KateEmbrace the planner and keep your work and your life stuff in it so that there's at least one place in your life that has everything. I bought one by Anecdote and love it because it has an hourly breakout for every day as well as lots of places for priorities, to-dos, notes, and places to write down ideas. Jessica Tudos, the mindful organizer I interviewed, likes the planners from Clever Fox. I use a planner i can write in--sort of like a journal too (this way i can get messy in it if I need to--jottting down randomness, reminder, etc.). I then I usually take from that and write a little post-it specifically for that day (I try and do it the night before which helps me prepare for the next day) and this way I dont have to carry around my journal with me. My iphone has all of my appointments in it when I make them--I transfer those into my planner. It seems like a lot of steps but it gets it all out of my head. -Ashley E.

KateKeep a list of things that you could easily delegate to someone else--it's a great place to start building a job description for an assistant, or things to ask your partner or family members for help withYes! I forget to do this and try to keep it in my head -Charis

JuanitaIf email is as overwhelming for you as it is for me, implenting a method to tackle it is key. I found the stack method (https://www.stackmethod.com/) online and have been following it with my work and personal emailsI've only just watched the intro video and I'm hooked! thanks for the rec - LauraOoh! I'm excited to check it out!! -- Kate

EmilyIf it takes five minutes or less, do it and don't procrastinate! This has saved me time and time again from having something linger on my to do list for days :) (Which I'm notorious for!)
yes! I limit this to two minutes and it helps me too! - Lauren

EricaI book 30 minutes specifically to make the grocery list every Thursday night. My kids know I am unavailable at that time. For years I angrily squeezed making the list into my Friday night and I was like DUH! just do it on Thursday. Life changing- both doing it on Thursday and knowing I have a specific time I must do it, since it's a task I don't like. I have a grocery list in my "notes" on my phone. When I think of something or when my prtner thinks of something--we just add it to the list. I do it more than he does. ; ) But it helps to never run out of "mustard". : )

JenBuild in a rest break every day. Ideally, this is an hour every afternoon to simply lie down and close my eyes, maybe even nap! No screens, no books, nobody else around, no distractions or interruptions. The best!!! We all need this reminder. it feels "indulgent" but it is actually "essential." -LizzieI've started this for 10 minute breaks and even that makes a big difference - Lauren

JenBullet journal! I use my to combine my to-do/task lists and my calendar, along with other features I've built in over the years. It's entirely customizable. This year, I've moved my bujo out of a Moleskine and into a discbound system.

CharisSet location-based reminders on your phone. E.g., pick up an anniversary card while in the 0.5 mile radius of CVS. So when you're there for another reason, the reminder pops up.That's awesome! -Ashley E.
Wow! Didn't know this was possible - this will be a game changer! Thank you!

TrishCreate a list of EVERYTHING I want or need to do - use it as a Brain Dump so I can let it all out of my head, and organize and prioritize. This helps me feel like I have a plan and don't just have to keep doing things, because as you said, there is always more to do. I love this! And take it a step further. I have a brain dump journal with lines. I date the top of the page & list out my to-do's. Every day of the week gets a different color highlighter. I highlight what I want to work on & put in into my calendar or in my Notion app. ๐Ÿ’— - Melodie

TrishUse a system to organize my "to do" list. I use www.todoist.com and love that I can schedule things for future dates, make them reoccuring, and set priorities. I am a fan of todoist, too! Love that I can see it on my phone or on my computer (hate having to do everything only on the phone--oh, my middle aged eyes!). It really is helpful for categorizing things, too. -- Kate
