Students get used to exploring the Subjects library with a treasure hunt. This session contains the questions and answers in a PowerPoint, or as a handout.In this session, students will identify what they think makes a great leader, watch a short TED talk (Everyday leadership by Drew Dudley), and record examples of when they have been leaders in the Competencies tool.Students identify their strongest skill, and practise putting this into a real-life career scenario. They work with their classmates to create a super strong team, and present to the rest of the class.Three shorter Unifrog sessions will help students understand the elements of a CV and how to make a great one. These sessions end with students creating a CV and getting/giving feedback to peers.

In these sessions, students identify what makes a great communicator and teamworker, and after completing several tasks and activities, will record these skills as competencies on their Unifrog profiles.Students learn about and put into practise the skills they need to feel confident when approaching potential work experience employers.Students have a better understanding of what independence is and what it means to them. Students will record an example of when they've been independent in the Competencies section of their Unifrog profile.In these sessions, students will become familiar with common health and safety signs and procedures, as well as understand appropriate behaviour in the work place in preparation for work experience.Homework: Journal in PDF format, printed and filled out in pen or in Word format, filled out on the computer and saved to LockerSave Sally from a life of boredom: Students take part in a fun escape room activity which will test their teamwork and communication skills.Students to research Post 16 options and update Unifrog profiles

Students learn about the opportunities available to them, post-18. This is a great time to ask students to record their intentions for the end of this academic year.Students discover what MOOCs are, and research possible areas of interest before making a shortlist.

MOOCs should be planned-for in advance as start-dates vary.

Students find out about degree apprenticeships, and start searching for opportunities they might be interested in.Students complete an in-depth comparison of at least two different post-18 pathways available to them, using the Unifrog tools. In this session students learn about what makes a great personal statement, by successfully reordering a jumbled one, before writing a first draft of their own personal statement using the Unifrog tool.Explain the importance of networking and the significance of using social media to students using these sessions and activities.Students should complete at least one MOOC over the summer holidays to support their applications. MOOCs can have an academic focus or a personal development/skills focus.

Please note: As well as confirming/declining offers on the Unifrog platform, students must also log into UCAS Track website to confirm their choices with the universities involved. This is not done automatically when students record their decisions in the Applications list tool.
Give students a heads-up about what happens at assessment centres as part of the recruitment process.Students confirm their firm and insurance places in their Applications list.
