Trial Ends: Pursuant to 5.1 of the Laws of the Sport trial ends will be allowed before competition commences each day.

3 games of 18 ends with no time limit each day.

Lunch will be taken after the first game.

Games 2 & 3 will commence 20 minutes after the completion of the last finishing game of the previous round.

Winners of 2 or more games after 3 Rounds on Day 1 qualify for Post-section Play on Day 2.

Playing Format:

· Ends made dead shall be replayed in accordance with Law 20 of the Laws of the Sport.

· Absentee Players: If, 15 minutes after the scheduled start time for trial ends, one or more players are absent from a team,

the defaulting team will forfeit the game to their opponents.

· No shot scored –tied end – (Law 24 of the Laws of the Sport applies)

· If the scores are equal when all ends in a game have been played an extra completed end(s) shall be played to find a winner.

Leaving Green:

No Player must delay play by leaving the rink of play or their team unless their opponent agrees,

and then only for no more than 10 minutes. (Rule 33.1)

If a Player has to leave the green due to illness or other reasonable cause and cannot return within 10 minutes the Umpire

or Controlling Body can approve the introduction of a substitute. (Rule 33.2).

If no substitute player is available, the defaulting team will forfeit the game to their opponents.

Substitutes or Change to an Original Member

The Centre Tournament Committee shall allow a substitute or replacement for an original team member in

accordance with Bowls New Zealand Domestic Regulation Clause 7.

If used, bowls stickers must be applied to all bowls of a team

Smoking and Alcohol:

As laid down by Bowls New Zealand and Bowls Manawatu the following policies will apply:

· There shall be no smoking anywhere in a Clubhouse or on the greens. Smoking may only occur in designated smoking areas.

· The consumption of alcohol is restricted to the Clubhouse in accordance with the Club’s license.

Consumption of alcohol on the greens or surrounds is strictly prohibited.

Alteration to Format & Length of Games:

The Controlling Body reserves the right to alter the format, times of play and greens to suit unforeseen circumstances,

giving as much notice as possible.

When a programme is interrupted or unable to be completed due to inclement weather or local conditions,

the Controlling Body may amend the format and length of games to achieve a result.
