One of the morals of the story is that you never know what you are capable of until you try. Harry was faced with extraordinary circumstances, and he was able to rise to the challenge. He found reserves of bravery within himself, as well as special abilities. Harry Potter had no idea that he was a wizard, of course.

Harry Potter, a guy who knows nothing but neglect and hatred at his aunt and uncle's, unexpectedly discovers that he is special. An orphan, who believed that his parents died in a cat crash, is faced by letters and mysterious happenings in Privet Drive. He gets letters from unknown people everyday and his uncle shifts houses to escape these letters. But on his birthday, a giant called Hagrid comes to the shack he was staying in to escape letters, and Hagrid tells him he is a famous wizard! He takes him to Diagon Alley, to buy spellbooks and a wand to go to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the place where his parents learnt magic. He discovers that his parents were murdered by an evil wizard called Lord Voldemort, who tried to kill him but vanished doing so. He leaves for the magical school, learning magic and having friends for the first time. Life at Hogwarts is fun, having teachers teaching magic, a particularly nasty guy called Snape, while they save the Philosopher's Stone from the murderer who killed his parents.

I must admit that I really am uncomfortable answering questions like this. I never seem to ‘go with the pack’ and frequently present a view at odds with the majority opinion. At least, that was my record at school.

That said, I’d have to start by saying “pick one”.

JK Rowling packed an enormous amount of themes and morals in the Harry Potter and the… series. Some of these have garnered criticism for their simplistic presentation. Others appear to be subjective interpretations by fanfic authors and other individuals.

For me, the moral isn’t about “good versus evil”. People are not that polarised; no one I’ve met or lived with is purely good or purely evil, yet many of her characters are written that way.

The moral for me is ‘never give up’. Harry (heroic fiction character trope notwithstanding) had no real chance against a wizard the calibre of Voldemort. An untried boy, still learning his craft, against a wizard who is renowned for murder and the destruction of some of the finest wizarding families in Magical Britain? That’s like asking an eleven-year-old boy to stand up to the worst mass-murderer in the history of whichever country this reply is being read in.

Despite the odds stacked up against him, disregarding cliches and plot conveniences, Harry demonstrated that it is possible to defy the odds by refusing to surrender. Yes, he chose to die to save his friends and the others at Hogwarts, even though he clearly had no reason to believe his nemesis’ promise of ceasing the attack. He didn’t give up, and he defeated Voldemort in a magic duel.

Then there’s Draco, Harry’s schoolyard nemesis. Vain, shallow, selfish yet quite complicated a character thanks to some twists that JK Rowling added in Half-Blood Prince. He showed another side of ‘never give up’. He worked hard to master the Vanishing Cabinet. He didn’t stop trying other ways to terminate the one he was to murder, either; he just wasn’t very good in making sure that things went according to plan. A bit like his father in Chamber of Secrets, really…

Anyway…

Draco didn’t let failure get in his way. He kept trying different strategies, doing everything he could to protect his parents whom he felt certain would suffer an horrific fate at Voldemort’s hands if he failed. His moment of truth had a different outcome, but that is in one way what makes the moral so strong.

On a more comic note, there’s Dobby in Chamber of Secrets. If Draco shows us that follow-through is the key to success, Dobby shows us that even the best of intentions go awry when those who are determined never to give up keep on trying… by floating a cake, blocking a gateway, jinxing a bludger and then not verbally telling Harry who was behind the attacks in the first place. He always wanted Harry protected. He always wanted to tell Harry who was trying to kill him. A magical law, or curse, or binding oath or whatever, made it impossible for him to say anything bad about his Master and family. So he never gave up trying to find another way to do it.

So, for me, that’s the moral behind Harry Potter and the…, though I’m sure there are others who will posit alternative viewpoints.

It's a very interesting book I had ever read it's very good for reading in free time

Eleven years ago, wizards rejoiced all over the world, and Muggles (non-magic folk) were confused. They celebrated because He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was defeated. In other words, Voldemort (the evilest wizard around) killed Harry Potter's parents, but for some strange reason, he couldn't kill little baby Harry. Now Voldemort seems to have disappeared. Overnight, baby Harry has become a hero – "The Boy Who Lived." Having lost his family and home, Harry also has become an orphan. Dumbledore (the principle of Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft), Professor McGonagall (a teacher at Hogwarts), and Hagrid (a groundskeeper at Hogwarts) find a home for baby Harry with his Muggle extended family, the Dursleys.

Cut to present day, when ten-year-old Harry lives with his super-mean aunt and uncle and their son Dudley. When they go to the zoo for Dudley's birthday, Harry encounters a sympathetic snake .........................

Kundera opens with a story about Gottwald, the first Communist president of Czechoslovakia, and Clementis, later an enemy of the state. When Clementis falls from grace, the propaganda department has his image removed from a famous photo of him with Gottwald. It's a great way to introduce the story of Mirek, a private citizen who's about to be arrested (and erased) by the government.

Instead of staying home and burning his incriminating papers, Mirek takes a road trip to the house of his old ladylove, Zdena, to retrieve his love letters. He realizes that he's being tailed, but he continues, anyway. At Zdena's house, he finds that she's not in the mood to fork over the old letters. He wants to smash her in the head and steal them. Spoiler: he doesn't.

Why are these letters so important to the dude, anyway? Well, on his drive back home, Mirek admits that he wants to do some revising of history of his own so that his life story will be nice and neat. Basically, Zdena is an ugly woman, and he doesn't want word to get out that he'd loved her.

Ouch.

When he arrives back at his apartment, Mirek finds that the secret police are already there, collecting his personal documents. His 17-year-old son is ready to kill him for leaving sensitive information lying around for the government to use against them. In the end, Mirek and his son are hauled away to prison—along with 10 of Mirek's friends.

बड़े घर की बेटी’ हिंदी के प्रसिद्ध लेखक ‘मुंशी प्रेमचंद’ द्वारा लिखी एक प्रसिद्ध कहानी है। इस कहानी में ‘मुंशी प्रेमचंद’ ने संयुक्त परिवारों में होने वाली समस्याओं का चित्रण किया है। उन्होंने इस कहानी के माध्यम से यह बताने का प्रयत्न किया है कि संयुक्त परिवारों में जरा-जरा सी बात पर कलह हो जाती है, बात का बतंगड़ बन जाता है और फिर आपसी समझ-बूझ से बिगड़ती बात को संभाल भी लिया जाता है। ‘बड़े घर की बेटी’ कहानी में प्रेमचंद जी ने भारतीय संयुक्त परिवारों के मनोविज्ञान को बड़ी बारीकी से दिखाने का प्रयत्न किया है।

कहानी का मुख्य पात्र आनंदी है जो भूपसिंह की बेटी है जो एक रियासत के ताल्लुकेदार थे। आनंदी का विवाह गौरीपुर के जमींदार बेनी माधव सिंह के बड़े बेटे श्रीकंठ से होता है। एक दिन आनंदी का अपने मायके की बुराई करने अपने देवर लालबिहारी से झगड़ा हो जाता है तो वो नाराज होकर कोपभवन चली जाती है और अपने पति से देवर की शिकायत करती है। उसका पति श्रीकंठ क्रोधित होकर अपने भाई का मुंह ना देखने की कसम खाता है। परिवार में हो रहे क्लेश और झगड़े को देखने के लिए आसपास के लोग किसी ना किसी बहाने से घर में जमा हो जाते हैं। इन सब बातों से दुखी लाल बिहारी जाने लगता है। जाते-जाते लालबिहारी अपनी भाभी आनंदी से क्षमा मांगता है। यह देख कर उसकी भाभी आनंदी का दिल पिघल जाता है और वो अपने देवर लालबिहारी को क्षमा कर देती है। अंत में दोनों भाई श्रीकंठ और लालबिहारी आपस के मनमुटाव को भुलाकर कर गले मिल जाते हैं और सब कुछ पहले की तरह सामान्य हो जाता है। अंत में बेनी माधव और गांव के लोग यही कहते हैं कि बड़े घर की बेटियां ऐसी ही होती हैं।

इस कहानी के द्वारा लेखक ने अंत भला तो सब भला वाला आदर्श स्थापित किया है। उन्होंने आनंदी के माध्यम से एक सभ्य, सुसंस्कृत, रूपवती, गुणवती बड़े घर की बेटी के संस्कारों को दिखाया है। जिसने अपनी समझ बूझ और बुद्धिमत्ता से घर को टूटने से बचाया और दो भाइयों को एक दूसरे से अलग होने से बचाया।

एक बड़े घर की बेटी आनंदी की कहानी जिसने अपनी समझदारी, होशियारी और अक्लमंदी से अपने मध्यम-वर्गीय ससुराल को बिखरने से बचाया।

The moral of this story is that all girls are equal and they should be treated equally everywhere. no need to showoff.
