I liked that the sessions were somewhat free flowing to attack any particular issue I was having at that time.

Through decision making, public speaking and management challenges we covered it all.
I have founds Richards passion for what he does infectious and loved exploring the literature, books and theoretical pieces that underpinned it all .

|10/29/2021 17:46:20||Sarunas Saulis||They broaden, and challenge my perspective, particularly because it's easier to step back, and take a broader look at your own situation whilst analysing it with somebody from outside of the organisation. They also help both generate new, and crystalise existing ideas.||Not sure whether this would really work or not, but it might worth trying to add some very lightweight structure. I.e. maybe just adding a very brief, top level recap of main topics and points from last few sessions, or something similar.||Don't think so, there's nothing that really comes to mind.||10||I started coaching sessions with Richard in order to accelerate development of my leadership skills|
in a rapidly growing tech company.
From the start, these sessions have been incredibly useful to me - they helped me better understand
how to deal with the constantly changing, and always complex tech scaleup environment, how to change
my thinking in different problem spaces, and crucially, how to get better at collaborating with
people around me.
The best part about all that, is that Richard runs these sessions by constantly challenging and
questioning my thinking, whilst managing to do that in a respectful and insightful way, which makes
these sessions really engaging and interesting.

Rich has an innate ability to ask the right questions at the right times, which has only improved with additional context on my strengths, weaknesses, and wider business environment. While his style predominantly revolves around the "coach approach", Rich is well-read, experienced and opinionated, and isn't afraid to share his own thoughts when asked of him.||While I greatly value the flexibility of being able to come into the session with a blank slate and ability to tackle any problems, I think the sessions could benefit from a bit more structure. For example, one of the things I really like that Rich does is send me notes from the session after our calls, but it would be great to have a living, shared Notion document of sorts where I can centralise and look back on them as a whole. Similarly, I'd like Rich to have a longer-term approach and hold me accountable for the goals I've set and the areas I said I'd like to develop.||Nothing to stop doing; perhaps things to consider starting such as a shared Notion document where we can centralise notes and have a single source of truth for long-term objectives.||9||My coaching sessions with Rich challenge me to build my own capabilities for solving both strategic and day-to-day problems. Ultimately, I find one of the most important aspects of coaches is the relationship you develop with them. Rich's empathy and humour makes creates an environment where you feel comfortable being vulnerable and self-aware. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rich to other business leaders looking to grow and develop in their careers.

The questions I have been asked have opened up new perspectives and have shaped how I have tackled certain scenarios. I also appreciate how we work through problems together, rather than simply being told what to do.||Now that we've started a shared document to log our sessions, I'm not sure I can think of anything else||Nope!||10||My sessions with Richard have been eye opening, engaging and informative. I have gained confidence in my management and leadership skills, and have enjoyed the process of unpicking problems together, rather than simply being given an answer or generic advice.|

|1/2/2022 12:27:12||Amanda Green||The sessions give me a dedicated space to come and talk about things that are worrying me, what I'm struggling with or issues that I can't really voice with anyone else in my life. They help me to reflect on what's happening (mainly at work) and make sense of the fast pace of how things are changing. There is usually a point towards the end when I've got everything out and you ask some question or help move on from whatever I came to talk about that day. I've found that the final part of the session is often the most useful in moving my thought process on and being able to think about the topics in-between sessions.||Feel free to either interrupt me or ask a question that will move the conversation on from where we're at. I can get very into thinking deeply about a particular thing (and I suspect you are sometimes also interested in that). Since I've often come to the sessions because I feel stuck trying to work through it by myself, it's usually the moving forwards that is most helpful rather than exploring a thought more deeply. Having said that, of course it all depends on what we're talking about so a balance of both is still always welcome!||Can't think of anything||8||Richard's sessions give me a dedicated space to come and talk about things that are worrying me, what I'm struggling with or issues that I can't really voice with anyone else in my life. His coaching style is conversational and non-directive, which helps to cover a lot of ground in a short space of time. Richard is very adaptable to coaching on a range of topics in the leadership arena, as well as other aspects of professional and personal development which is why I've found it useful to work with him across a range of different roles and career moves.|
