Hello, I am Hideout, and this is the large Prof Oak challenge doc that I wanted to do for pokemon insurgence. In this doc, we will be assuming non-Hard mode difficulty. We will have to wait for hidden grottos and have the pokemon respawn. There are some important points below regarding specific items such as evolution stones and link trade evolutions. If you want to look up specific insurgence locations without looking at the document for the first time encounters, the following link will be provided below. For more general information regarding the wiki, (as that is where I get the information from) the second link below is a suitable link to search for information regarding pokemon insurgence. If you have any questions regarding the validity of information on this document, you can comment on this document.

Useful Information:
8
Challenge is done by a gym by gym basis, where you collect and evolve all pokemon possible before each gym.
9
Glitches are, of course, not allowed for the Professor Oak challenge. (not that I think there is any for insurgence that would help)
10
Trading with other people or using people to trade with other save files is not allowed for the Professor Oak challenge.
11
Pokemon Needed means the pokemon needed in each area before each gym. (per section basis, total right before each gym will be listed below)
12
Location is the FIRST available location for the pokemon. (NOT ALL POSSIBLE LOCATIONS)
13
Evolution is for pokemon that have an evolution requirement listed or need to be bred.
14
Percentage is the percentage chance of finding it in the wild.
15
Additional Notes are obviously additional notes that may be of some importance regarding specific pokemon.
16
Caught is for keeping track of mons caught in a copy of this document.
17
Pokemon in green color are required pokemon. Everyone doing this run must have these. (Within their specific section)
18
Pokemon in pastel pink color are possible pokemon. (You may or may not have them at this point, depending on some choices within the game)
19
Hidden Grottos encounters will need to respawn for this challenge to function. (If you mess with your computer's clock, it may break hidden grottos)
20
You can soft reset outside of hidden grottos for different encounters/items within the hidden grotto.
21
In-game trades will need to be done. (Trades with NPCs)
22
Breeding will need to be done.
23
When given the option to grab one of the evolution stones in Midna Town, I do not grab the Fire Stone as it is pointless in section 1 (Before Gym 1), aside from evolving Eevee into Flareon.
24
Old Rod is obtained on Route 2 by a fisherman. (Old Rod encounters are available before gym 1)
25
Instant Lapras (Surf HM replacement) is obtained right AFTER defeating gym 1.
26
Good Rod is obtained in Vipik City by a boy. (Good Rod encounters are available before gym 2)
27
Super Rod is bought in Black Market for 0 pokemoney. (Super Rod encounters are available before gym 3)
28
The Daycare Center (place where you breed pokemon) is available in Metchi Town. (Breeding is available before gym 2)
29
The Fossil Reviver is in the Secret Base, which is bought in Metchi Town. (Fossil Revival is available before gym 2)
30
The Witchdoctor (person who can evolve mons requiring link trades without using online) is available in the Black Market. (Link trade evolutions are available before gym 3)
31
Various items such as evolution stones and items required in link trade evolutions can be found in the Helios Department Store located in Helios City. (Available before gym 3)
32
The Scuba Gear (Dive HM replacement) is obtained BEFORE gym 5. However, the event for getting Scuba Gear will lock you out of Route 11 until you defeat gym 5.
33
Tesseract is available after the events that occur in Dragon Ruins. (Before gym 7)
34
Soaring is available as soon as you get to Route 15 (where the one of the two Taxi Machine Piece is, other one in Black Market, also before gym 7). Note, you do need VIP Pass first.
35
Heart Swap is available after the events that occur in Infernal Base located in Rose Crater. (Before gym 8)
36
Hiking Boots (Rock Climb HM replacement) is available in post game (Before Elite 4+Champ Rematch), after completing some section of the Taen questline as you get the boots from Gail.
37
Magic Carpet (Waterfall HM replacement) is available in post game (Before Elite 4+Champ Rematch), as a findable item in Holon Pyramid (not given to you).
38
Relic Song is available in post game (Before Elite 4+Champ Rematch) by defeating or capturing Meloetta, via 8 Mysterious Scroll items (you will need to place each one to release the locks in Samsara Cave). Getting these Mysterious Scrolls requires getting to the puzzle for each item. Some specific ones are locked not only behind Rock Climb walls (need Hiking Boots), but also one is in Holon (meaning you need to get far in the Holon questline).
39
Note - Most legendaries/mythicals are locked by a post game quest, relic song, or having to beat the e4 rematch.
40
Note - Friend Safari is marked with Blue, while no Friend Safari is marked with Red. Section 1 aka "Before Gym 1 (Orion)" is marked as Purple because that section is the same for BOTH FS and no FS.

If doing a friend safari variation of this Professor Oak challenge, then friend safari "slots" is unlocked over the course of the game. There are three slots.
56
The first slot is unlocked immediately (as soon as you can access friend safari from the secret base in Metchi Town). This can be seen in "Before Gym 2 (Xavier) with FS" section.
57
The second slot is unlocked after obtaining the sixth badge. This can be seen in "Before Gym 7 (Calreath) with FS" section.
58
The third (and final) slot is unlocked after obtaining the eighth badge. This can be seen in "Before Elite 4+Champ with FS" section.

DO NOTE THAT THIS IS AN ESTIMATION, NOT EXACT. IT MAY VARY DEPENDING ON IF YOU CHOSE EEVEE OR NOT. (this estimation is for choosing a delta starter, while eevee would have less near the beginning, a bit more near the middle, and would have more at the "Before Elite 4+Champ Rematch" section)
75
76
WIP Creating a FS section, even though I dislike FS. I am doing this specifically because doing FS with this is harder to keep track of, which I do not wish upon anyone else. Slowly but surely getting it done.

To Do: Make sure Friend Safari is properly placed in order when you are able to access it. Revise other sections to update information with this new information.
