The Drama Club will give students an opportunity to participate in supervised creative dramatic activities including a final production. Students will be exposed to different aspects of theater including impromptu skits, costume design, set design, props and tech crew. The club will work on creative thinking skills, encourage teamwork, and provide students with enriched learning experiences in the area of performing arts.10

This can be as simple as survive the night in the minecraft world to create a village that produces it's own resources. This is an important trait for students to learn in school and in the real world. Most jobs now require that their employees work together in groups to solve a goal. In this after school club students will learn these skills in a fantasy world that will develop into skills that can be used in the real world. Let's grab our diamond swords and develop problem solving skills!!15

From the DI website: “Destination Imagination (DI) is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization whose purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Annually, we offer seven new standards-based Challenges in STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning and Early Learning. Each Challenge is open-ended and enables students to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation while fostering their creativity, courage and curiosity. Academic tournaments take place around the world where teams have the opportunity to present their solutions to trained appraisers. Students have fun and gain confidence in their ability to solve any challenge. In working to solve our Challenges, teams learn 21st century skills (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, citizenship and courage), step outside of their comfort zones to pursue ideas and make presentations, and build on their unique strengths.” Students must agree to put effort into their projects and are expected to go to competition.20

$50.00/SEMESTERStudent Council is a leadership organization that anyone in grades 4-6 can join. STUCO members lead the school in helping out others in the community and by promoting school spirit. In November, the 4-6 student body will have the opportunity to participate in an election to choose their governing body. Those who are not elected as officers, may participate in student council as representatives. We are also in charge of any big events and fundraise money for the school.10
