March Madness pools March Madness, I believe has been cancelled but good idea if it wasn't. :) Reed College created a march madness that is campus specific! Instead of basketball teams, we're doing "Reedisms" Email me if you want more info (jamesm@reed.edu)Can also do alternative bracket competitions, like "Best Meme" or "Best campus tradition"Some friends and I do something like this where we pick a random category amongst us and make a bracket of each of our top 4-5, then we all debate what's the best until we have a winner.

Photo challengesthis sounds interesting. can you elaborate?I didn't write the initial suggestion, but my team does stuff like this by putting out a daily photo share in one of our group chats where we need to take a photo that day of something specific. It's fun way to keep in touch and to break up the day a bit.I am thinking of a photo pet picture competition. When I brought it up to my students they though it was a good idea. Students simply send in pictures of their pets and then there is a vote on the "silliest, most unique pet. etc.

Rockbot played in the Residence Hall Can you explain what this is?<-- Rockbot is basically an online jukebox, you use an app to queue up songs and the whole community can be a part of it, it is proximity based, so you have to be in the area where the music is playing to queue up songs. Very cool app/program

LetsGazeGaze - Long Distance Movie Nightthis seems to have issues? With the Camera and microphone, can students use this mobile. Swank has a way they can set up a link for viewing -In terms of Swank, what are you referring to? I contacted my Swank representative and he told me that they do not have the capability to provide online public performance licensing. Just spoke to my Swank Rep - Megan she stated that because of our request it is a service they are currently looking to offer and will have more details soon.

Virtual Student Leader Award CermoniesPollEverywhereCan you elaborate on this? How are you planning to recognize award recipients?Polleverywhere is software that allows you to create polls that are generated live for audiences to view. They are currently offering a "complimentary 90-day premium plan for educators", and there are other free websites that have fewer viewer allowance options. We are actually no longer doing this idea, but the idea was to do a live poll of the voting process. We have already received nominations for the different categories (most spirited, most dedicated, etc.), and was going to create a poll for each category to allow the students to vote and view the polls live via Twitter and/or Instagram. You could come up with a cool way catered to your student population to officialy announce the winner. Now, obviously there are other ways to do this, but the thought was to be a bit more offical than the ordinary Twitter or Instagram poll.

Cooking in a cupResidents can make their own rice crispy in a cup! We will provide the Ingredients and possibly the mugs (if in the budget) Website attached- https://www.thecomfortofcooking.com/2015/02/1-minute-microwave-rice-krispies-treats-in-a-mug.htmlingredients per mug- 1/4 tablespoon unsalted butter, 2 large marshmallows, 1/4 cup mini marshmallows, 1/2 cup rice crispies cereal. This can be a great way for the new DAs to get to know the residents so that they can stop by and make a little treat from the comforts of thier residence hall. Other instructions include -I1. n a microwave-safe mug, microwave butter on high until completely melted. 2. Add marshmallows and microwave for 20 seconds more. (Marshmallows will puff up, so be careful to not let them overflow from mug.) Remove from microwave and stir until smooth.
3. Stir in cereal until well blended.
4. Enjoy!
