SGSSAA requires the use of matching MSAA mode (IE: 8xCSSAA =/= 8xQMSAA) to work, though you can get away with 4xMSAA and 2xSGSSAA for some games as 2x 2xSG is not very good. SGSSAA works by replaying the pixel shading for N number of samples per pixel for the entire scene. So 8xSGSSAA has 8 samples, each pixel has it's shading done 8 times. SGSSAA is actually called FSSGSSAA, (Full Scene Sparse Grid Super Sampling Anti Aliasing) and TrSSAA is just SGSSAA. Since they are the same technique, but TrSSAA is selective SSAA of Alpha Tested objects only. But in OpenGL TrSSAA is actually FSSGSSAA. Confused yet? There is no Automatic LOD adjustment here, some games need it. Some don't. Some people prefer it, some don't. You can also use SGSSAA to trick the driver so you can force positive or negative LOD biases without actually using SGSSAA as well. (Say you have a game that has an excessively negative LOD bias for Texture MIPS, you set say 2xMSAA,2xSGSSAA, set it to application controlled;Enhance if that doesn't work; and then set a positive LOD bias for the game profile. 10 | MFAA (Multi Frame) | This enables Nvidia's Multi Frame Anti Aliasing mode. This only works in DXGI (DX10+) and requires either the game to have MSAA enabled in the game or MSAA to be forced. What it does is change the sub sample grid pattern every frame and then is reconstructed in motion with a "Temporal Synthesis Filter" as Nvidia calls it. There are some caveats to using this though. It causes visible flickering on geometric edges and other temporal artifacts depending on the game and it's MSAA implementation. Part of this is nullified with Downsampling though. So it's GREAT to use with downsampling (In conjunction with FXAA as well to improve AA/Performance With screenshots and videos captured locally, there will be visible sawtooth patterns. You can also enhance this with SGSSAA (By using "Enhance Application Setting"), how well it works depends on the game and likewise how well MFAA works depends on the game too. (It used to have problems with framerates below 40FPS but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Though the temporal pattern may become more visible and you may observe more issues in motion. Again downsampling helps a lot) It does not work with SLI. Supposedly it was supposed to happen in a driver update. But, well you know. 11 | DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) | This is Nvidia's official way of Downsampling. It is the same as OGSSAA but works without compatibility settings and works in any API. As well has a user adjustable filter for Sharpness. Following the link in the top cels of the main document you can hack your own ratios in. DSR works well up to 4x4=16xOGSSAA and can be combined with ANY of the forced AA methods listed here. There is a downside to this though, the game has to be able to detect the resolution and the game has to have a fixed Scale UI or options to keep it scaled to a certain size.
