Purpose
2
The purpose of a RASCI chart is to ensure every stakeholder in a project is aware of their role and responsibility.
3
4
RResponsible
Who does the work
5
AAccountable
The one who owns the outcome
6
SSupports
Who is assisting the responsible
7
CConsulted
Who is assisting the responsible with input, not work
8
IInformed
Those who need updates, information, etc.
9
10
Of all of these, if you have a small team, I find that Support can often be dropped from the list due to redundancy. Some just use the R and A so choose what makes sense for you. To update the options, go to Data Validation, then list and delete the ones you don't want to use.

Instructions
17
1
Enter your project name and milestones
18
2
Enter your roles across the top
19
3
Determine your priorities and statuses. To update, go to Data Validation, then list and edit.
20
4
To edit colors, select the cells and go to Conditional Formatting then manage rules. You may adjust colors here.
21
5
To edit the chart colors, double click on the chart and change fill off to the right. If you can't select cells near a chart, click off to the side and navigate with arrow keys, the chart is blocking them
22
6
There are no 'rules' to the counts for the letters but there are guidelines
23
A needs to have 1 per milestone, too many is confusing and you must have one
24
R should have 1 to 3, too many makes it unclear who is doing work
25
C is a 2-way communication role so the more you have the slower decision making becomes
26
I is one-way communication, use as many as needed but try to keep them in proportion and not have a whole chart full of I
27
S this is the least used, many milestones will have zero
28
7
Row 28 to 32 are hidden, you can right click and unhide, they are set up if you need more rows but you can keep adding, just adjust conditional formatting to capture as noted above. If you right click in the middle of the chart and insert rows, you won't have to worry about adjusting formulas
29
8
Starting in row 38m, the counts are there for the charts at the top, the text is white. If you need more rows and type over what is there, you will lose those so drag them somewhere else.
30
9
If you need fewer columns, you can righ click and hide making sure there are no values in the cells. You will need to adjust chart size by clicking on the circles in the corners and dragging them
