mannanThe endorsement feature was seamless, and I enjoyed its usage. I believe it would be highly useful in enabling communication between faculty and students, as it serves as a marker to guide students to inciteful answers done in the feed. Sadly I wasn't able to find the presence of the anonymous feature described. The feature to be improved is the anonymous feature that didn't appear for me, however, I assume it has to do with a deployment error that I too faced. It's in terms of the package.json.docker file needed to copy the correct dependencies. The endorse feature went really well. Yes, I did discover a bug as the anonymous feature did not appear, however, I suspect it's a trivial bug due to a deployment error.

mrahmatuThe instructor endorsement feature appears to be a useful addition to the NodeBB system, particularly for improving communication between faculty and students. It allows instructors to show support or recognition for specific student posts, which can motivate students and enhance their engagement. This feature can help create a more interactive and supportive online learning environment. A suggestion for improvement could be to consider adding a visual indicator, like a badge or icon, to endorsed posts. This would make it easier for users to identify endorsed posts at a glance. Another suggestion would be to allow instructors to provide a brief comment or reason for their endorsement. This additional context can further enhance communication and clarify why the post was endorsed. There were no bugs in the endorsement feature. I couldn't test the anonymous feature. I cannot find the "Comments and feedback" category to make a post.

hjoadThe feature for endorsing posts is intuitive and clear on both how to use it and what it should be used for. The instructor simply needs to click to endorse the post and then confirm their decision through a pop-up. This feature would help enable better communication between faculty and students because it allows instructors to endorse good comments from students so that other students can find and learn from those comments as well. This feature could be improved by making it match better visually with the rest of the page and the aesthetic style of NodeBB. In terms of where this feature did well, endorsed posts are made to stand out compared to other posts which makes it more useful in terms of its intended functions for students, and is a clear confirmation that the endorsement worked for the instructor that endorsed the post. I did not experience any bugs while using this feature. For the anonymous button feature, I wasn't able to find it. This might be a bug.

asubaieUnfortunately I wasn’t able to find the anonymous button. However the other feature, the “Instructor Endorsement” seems straightforward. Instructors can endorse or unendorse student posts in the “Comments & Feedback” section. There’s a confirmation pop-up which provides a clear indication of the action being taken, and is helpful for preventing accidental endorsements or unendorsements. This feature can facilitate better communication between faculty and students by allowing instructors to endorse exemplary student posts. To match the style of other buttons on the page, I think the endorse button should be capitalized as it will enhance visual consistency. The feature did well in the fact that when the endorsement is clicked, a message in big, bold letters and another color appears, indicating that the post has been endorsed. This immediate, visible feedback is a really good feature. It ensures that the user knows their action was successful. There were no bugs or issues using in the endorsement feature however I couldn’t find the anonymous button, so there may have been a bug there.

alanoud2The experience of testing out the endorsement feature worked seamlessly, however, I struggled to test the anonymous feature. Although I followed the user guide, I could not find the "Post Anonymous" checkbox as the guide suggested. Therefore, for the first feature, I believe it enhances communication between faculty and students as the students know the answers or feedback is from a trusted source. Furthermore, the endorsement feature is an easy way for instructors to show their support for a student's post. Again, this is an easy and straightforward way for an instructor to show recognition of a student's post. An improvement that can be made to the feature is to remove the option of the "Endorsement Feature" from the student's view so that they don't have the option to see it (as they can't use it). Furthermore, maybe make the Enorsment button more visible for the instructor so that they don't accidentally press it. However, the feature was a positive experience as it worked very well and is such a useful feature to have in NodeBB. No bugs were found testing the first feature, however, the second feature does not work (anonymous feature).|

ajaborI had the opportunity to test the "Instructor Endorsement" feature, and my experience was quite positive. It proved to be intuitive and straightforward, allowing instructors to endorse or unendorse student posts in the "Comments & Feedback" section.I believe this feature could significantly enhance communication between faculty and students by enabling instructors to highlight exemplary student posts, ultimately motivating other students to engage and learn from those posts. To enhance the "Instructor Endorsement" feature, making the endorse button more visually attractive could be an effective improvement. A more eye-catching and visually appealing design for the button can draw the user's attention and encourage them to interact with it. One notable advantage of this feature was the immediate, visible feedback it provided upon endorsement. It was clear that the action was successful. However, I also attempted to test the anonymous feature, but unfortunately, I couldn't find it during my testing. It seems that the anonymous feature may not be functioning as expected. During my testing, I didn't encounter any bugs or issues with the endorsement feature however I was not able to navigate the anonymous feature.

hmkhalifThe "Instructor Endorsement" function is a handy, beneficial tool for improving communication between faculty and students, as specific posts can be endorsed by professors to acknowledge and appreciate high-quality or valuable posts created by students. Instructors can endorse and remove endorsements posts, with a confirmation pop-up to reflect the action, which is quite useful in tracking accidental action by user. One improvement I recommend is matching the style of the endorse button to the other buttons on the page by capitalizing the word. The feature does well by providing immediate feedback when the endorsement is clicked, signaling the successful endorsement of the post. I didn’t face any bugs or issues with the Endorsement feature, however, the anonymous feature did not appear for me when creating both a post/reply.

bbendouWhen exploring the endorsement feature, I found that the feature went smoothly and provided intuitive user experience, enhancing the interaction between faculty and students within the Comments
& Feedback section. However, I could not find the anonymous during testing as I could not find what the guide was suggesting. It's worth noting that the endorsement feature operates
immediate visual feedback confirming the endorsement action. Although, I do think that the tool's visibility could be improved for better ease of use, and incorporating a comment section for
endorsements might add valuable context. Other than that no bugs were encountered!

sastaneh The experience using this feature was quite smooth following the Guide document but it's mention to go to the comments and feedback section where I had a little hard time to find it but Overall I think this feature will help to have a better quality communication between the students and the instructor as this feature helps in organizing the app . I think there is a place to have some improvements to the Guide document. I believe it lacks from detailed clear steps to use the feature .I didn't discover any bug while using the feature. I also tried to test the anonymous functionality, I was unable to locate it  appears that there might be a problem with the anonymous feature. Although I was unable to use the anonymous option during my testing, I did not come across any bugs or other problems with the endorsement feature.

aabdallaThe use of the "Instructor Endorsement" feature is straightforward and user-friendly. Instructors possess the capability to provide their endorsement or retract it from student posts located within the "Comments & Feedback" section of the platform. This process is followed by a confirmation pop-up, which serves the dual purpose of confirming the endorsement and guarding against accidental clicks. This feature not only simplifies the endorsement process but also serves as an extra “verification” channel that enhances communication between instructors and students. By empowering instructors to endorse exceptional student posts, it encourages a sense of recognition and fosters a supportive learning environment. The feature could be improved by adjusting the endorse button to align with the style of other buttons on the page. This would enhance visual consistency and make the user interface more cohesive. On the positive side, the feature excels in providing immediate feedback. When the endorsement is clicked, a message in big, bold letters and a different color appears, clearly indicating that the post has been endorsed. This immediate, visual feedback is a nice aspect of the feature, as it ensures that users are promptly informed of the success of their action. There were no bugs in this feature.

aanaemiI tested out the endorsement feature. From my usage, I found that the feature is intuitive and very easy to use. I believe that this feature is very important to improve communication between faculty and students, this is because firstly it will play a key role in saving students’ time by highlighting the response which they should be looking at, secondly, it will work as a confidence booster for the students whose answers are marked as endorsed and would encourage them to post more. It would also encourage healthy competition in the class which would again lead to more participation. I did not find any bugs in my usage of this feature. I really liked the fact that there is a confirmation popup, this can save errors on endorsing/un-endorsing the wrong posts. I also really liked how the endorsed posts are made to stand out as compared to other posts, to further enhance this visibility, I would suggest adding an endorsed badge on these posts as an improvement.

asulait2I reviewed the endorsement feature and I found the feature to be user-friendly and straightforward. This feature can enhance and improve the interaction between faculty and students for several reasons: It will increase morale and confidence of students who get endorsed by the instructors, and encourage them to post more actively and be one of the first ones to get the endorsement. Secondly, it will allow for saving instructors’ valuable time as only the action of marking it as endorsed would be enough for the students to judge that the answer is correct. I think adding the confirmation popup for endorsement and de-endorsement is a good decision as it would minimize the chances of mistakes. What I really appreciated was that immediate visual feedback was provided after the endorsement action, and the endorsed post is made to stand out vs others. I was not able to find any bugs in this feature. An improvement that I would suggest would be to remove the option to endorse a post from the student’s view, and make the button stand out more for instructors so that they can easily see it.

akqThis team made a good "Endorsement" feature. Teachers can use it to show which student posts they like. This helps everyone see the best posts and work together better. It would be nice if there was a special badge for these liked posts. Also, letting teachers add a short note when they like a post would be helpful.

lmansoorThe endorsement experience was great, intuitive, and straightforward. I found it very easy to use and thought that it was straightforward and did not confuse the user. I think this would greatly affect the communication between faculty and students because both of them would build trust if the professor frequently endorsed the student and it would help them participate more. When it comes to the anonymous feature, I could not find out how to use it so I think that the user experience was not as good because I didn't know how to use it. However, conceptually I think it would improve communication because I think students would feel bwouldn'tf they wouldn't feel judged, since they are anonymous. For what they did well is that the interface was intuitive and straightforward, allowing me to quickly and easily endorse or unendorse student posts. I did not experience confusion, which is crucial for new features. Improvements would be that you could enhance the visibility of the endorsement button and the anonymous button or features to make it even more intuitive for the user. Introducing a badge or icon for endorsed posts and allowing instructors to add comments or reasons for their endorsements would provide additional context and recognition, further motivating students. This is the same for the anonymous button, an icon or a clear symbol would be good. While I did not encournter bugs with the endorsement feature, the anonymous feature’s lack of visibility can be considered a significant issue that needs addressing to ensure full functionality and user satisfaction.

zsahmedI have reviewed the endorsement feature. The usuage of the feature was smooth and it was easy to use. It also makes the interactions between instructors and students easier becuase certain posts made by students can be endorsed by instructors to credit important posts made by students. A suggetstion I would give is to make the enronsemt button stand out more by maybe adding an edgy icon that relates to the functionality of the button to emphasize on the value of the post. Other than that the feature is implmented properly. I did not encounter any bugs while using or testing this feature.
25
rsulaimaInstructors have the ability to either give their approval or withdraw their endorsement of student posts within the "Comments & Feedback" section. And you will see the pop-up right after to confirm the action taken! This feature has the potential to enhance communication between faculty and students by enabling instructors to recognize outstanding student contributions. I was not able to find the anonymous button. Maybe there is a bug that should be fixed.

maidarusThe feature that this team had incorporated was the Instructor Endorsement feature, which appeared quite straightforward and intuitive. It allows instructors to endorse or remove endorsements from student posts in the "Comments & Feedback" section. There is a confirmation pop-up that prevents accidental actions, making it user-friendly. This feature can enhance communication between faculty and students by enabling instructors to endorse outstanding student posts, providing an opportunity for other students to learn from them as well. Furthermore, this group mentioned that they implemented an anonymous feature, but I was not able to find it. The feature did well in the fact that when the endorsement is clicked, a message in big, bold letters and another color appears, indicating that the post has been endorsed. This immediate, visible feedback is a really good feature. It ensures that the user knows their action was successful. While using this feature, there were no bugs or problems encountered. However, there was a slight delay in the appearance of the confirmation message after clicking the endorse button. Another bug that I found was that there was not an anonymous button, so that might be an issue caused during deployment.

I found the endorsement feature’s use to be very smooth and intuitive overall. The feature was easy to understand and was very straightforward for the end-user to understand. I think this feature can have a major impact on enabling better communication between faculty and students because it would accomplish multiple things:
1. It would encourage students to post/engage more and be quick to reply to posts to gain the professor’s endorsement
2. The action of the professor endorsing a student’s post would boost their confidence and encourage them to participate more, and also build trust between students and faculty
3. This would also allow for saving both the time of students as well as faculty as students would not waste time looking at responses which might not be entirely correct, and teachers would not waste time answering questions which students have already answered correctly
I liked the confirmation popup which was added to take confirmation from the user regarding the post they were endorsing and un-endorsing, it adds a layer of mistake-protection to the system. I also liked that endorsed posts have a bolder style and can be easily differentiated from non-endorsed ones. An improvement I would suggest would be to enhance the visibility of the endorse button so it stands out more. I was not able to find any bugs in the use of this feature.

I reviewed the endorsement feature. I found that this feature was really well implemented and well thought through by the team. This is because the feature was very intuitive and easy to use. I think that this feature is very important for a system like this as it allows for saving the time of instructors which can be better spent on other things rather than answering questions which students have already answered correctly. I also think that students can easily navigate through the endorsed answer instead of having to search and validate answers themselves. I also believe that endorsing students' answers indirectly builds a kind of trust between faculty and students which is instrumental in increasing class participation and improving overall confidence of the class. I really liked how I was able to easily tell apart the endorsed posts from the non-endorsed ones. I also liked that the system asked for my confirmation before the action of endorsing to avoid mistakes. I did not find any bugs in this feature. One improvement that I would suggest would be to put an explicit endorsed badge or tag on endorsed posts, and make the endorse button more prominent for the instructor.
