Such a great learning environment. I loved the individual meetings and they really were helpful with my thesis and the mini presentations made me feel more confident and comfortable presenting.
I participated frequently and almost always came to class. I loved the individual meetings.
Takes a long time to receive feedback but when it comes its great!
The best professor! So friendly and always willing to meet. Responds quickly although gives back work a little late.

The individual meetings were really helpful and encouraged learning. The presentations to peers was also helpful to get feedback from them too.
I worked very hard in this class and would frequently meet with Prof Tan outside of class. I didn't have a huge prior interest in my topic but I did like using stata and was excited for that.
Very helpful responses to work that gave me good ways to improve my final paper. Prof. Tan also gave good comments from presentations too about what things I talked about where the most interesting for the listener.
Prof Tan was great at making time to meet if I had questions. There could have been a bit earlier communication with some due dates and the expectations for the assignments, but once it was released the expectations were clear.

High quality course because of the individual meetings especially. I didn't think the Writing Center or QSR appointments were very helpful. It would be better not to have that next year in my opinion.
45Prof Tan was an effective thesis professor that gave a lot of helpful tips for stata, articles for my lit review, and comments on my writing. 554

The course covered a range of topics and gave me the opportunity to develop my understanding of the subject. The instructor organized the material in a way that was generally easy to follow.
I attended class regularly and completed the assigned work throughout the semester. I came in with some prior interest in the subject and tried to engage with the material as it was presented.
Feedback on assignments was provided in a reasonable timeframe and gave me a sense of where I stood in the course. The grading standards were consistent with expectations set at the start of the semester.
The instructor was approachable and willing to answer questions during class. Communication was clear and I felt comfortable asking for clarification when needed.

The course was well-structured and covered material relevant to the subject area. It was a reasonable use of my time as part of my broader coursework.

The instructor was knowledgeable about the subject and presented the material competently. Overall I felt the course met the goals outlined at the beginning of the semester.
