What is an Eisenhower Matrix? This worksheet has been based on the Eisenhower Matrix. It's a time management tool designed to help you manage your most urgent work without compromising on getting your most important work done as well.
3
How does is work? The Eisenhower Matrix is also known as the Urgent/Important Principle. When using this matrix you need to categorise your activities into 4 different types depending on their urgency and importance.
4
How to use this worksheet?Using this worksheet is really easy. First copy this worksheet and then follow these steps to get started.
5
1. Enter all your tasks in under the Activity column.
6
2. Now select the type from the drop-down menu. If you're unsure select 'Backlog'.
7
3. Open the calendar by using dounble-click inside any cell under the Date column.
8
4. The check boxes in column B are there to help you focus. Click inside the check-box to 'commit' to an activity. I recommend committing to 3 - 5 activities each day. The colour of the Header in column B will change if you've commited to more than 5 activities.
9
5. Mark the status of each task at the end of the day.
10
What's in the Overview tab?The overview tab contains a pivot table based on the worksheet. The overview tab shows you how you've been spending your time during a specific period. You can choose a specific time period using the Filter option in the Pivot Table menu. The Pivot Table menu will open when you click anywhere inside the table.
