A comparison of all sets of UK death data I can find. Initially was just my breakdown of ONS's current/historical data on deaths by respiratory disease (now including COVID-19). Going back to 2015.

22/06 - As you may have noticed, the "people tested" figure has been lacking for some time now, due to the government not providing this figure for several weeks. As such, some of the other calculations (and associated figures/charts) also haven't been updated. Sadly, there's nothing I can do about this but hopefully we'll be provided the figures again in future (with the missing numbers backdated)
9
200Tue 11/08312789114813618470--164061-4130913?
20/05 - An update on GOV.UK states that cumulative totals (for confirmed/positive cases) on previous days may chance. This means each day's total cases may be lower than expected. As such, the total cases figure/charts going forward may give an uneven picture (unless the government start providing which prior days' totals have retroactively changed)

199Mon 10/0831164181613453361--166207-412961833708949.31%
10/04 - The official figures today included a two week total of "Pillar 2" tests/cases. Daily breakdowns of these can be viewed in the "Figures - Prelim & Comparisons" tab. I've now adjusted the daily totals on this main sheet to include the Pillar 2 cases. This marks the first major retroactive adjustment of my data here, but I felt it best for transparency. Going forward, the running total should include these Pillar 2 cases.

19/03 - The government has (accidentally, Boris slipped up) pledged to increase testing capacity to 250,000. It's also now being reported by UK press what many of us have been saying for weeks now - they could and SHOULD have been testing far higher numbers - https://twitter.com/Peston/status/1240727555151482884

19/03 - A general note regarding chart errors when today's figures are blank - this will occur occasionally, as I need to manually update formulas and charts each day ahead of the new figures. It will usually only be for a short while (as the numbers usually get entered at/shortly after 2pm) but today we're still waiting on the announcement.

16/03 - The government is currently (via press conference) announcing a change in policy. Part of this includes a mandatory 14 day isolation, which means our house is now (4 days into) a 14 day quarantine. And on top of that, we're potentially facing a 4-month lockdown for my partner's mother. Crazy times.

15/03 - Due to the unfortunate sharp increase in fatalities, we'll likely have enough data (minimum of 65 cases) on those by tomorrow/Tuesday to start getting a somewhat accurate mortality rate. As such I'll start plotting the fatalities on a new chart when this point is reached. - [UPDATE] 19/03, will likely be charting fatalities by tomorrow

14/03 - After a hectic day yesterday, we've got our household (of 3) split into self-quarantines. My symptoms are mild, so I should be ok to spend a fair bit of time on this. My partner's unfortunately a little worse for wear but improving by the day and we're staying positive (though no idea if we're actually positive because we can't get tested due to not being in hospital. Which is great, eh?) We both live with her mid-70s mother, who's in better shape than many 35 year olds and is, thankfully, showing no signs :)

11/03 - I've added a tab/sheet called "Hospital Signage Issue" to keep track of a massive problem I noticed where COVID-19 infected people have been entering NHS hospitals and health centres for weeks, due to massively outdated posters in use. Please help to highlight/share this on social media so I can find more photos/highlight it to the press.

11/03 - Government has announced plans to increase tests to 10,000 a day. States previous capacity was 2000, but obviously this begs the question - why weren't testing numbers increased last week/even sooner?
