| End of Year | We experimented with making 26-27 the active year in our sandbox. Is it one checkbox for the entire district? We thought it was a school by school setting. We were doing it for one school and then went to do the next and 26-27 was already active at that 2nd school. Can users be in IC when we switch active years? | The active year controls all schools in a district. Users can be in Infinite Campus when you switch active years. As always, communicate any system changes to all users. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | Who needs a summer program assignment? RtA camp participants, students taking random college classes, students taking Edmentum classes to get ahead, students who failed a class and are retaking it via Edmentum to be promoted, students who failed a class and are retaking it via Edmentum but the course didn't prevent them from being promoted? The only students that are actually coming to campus are the RtA camp students. | Any student that receives instruction through a school will need a summer education program to indicate their retention/promotion status at the end of the summer. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Scheduling | What is the best way to load students after July 1? Can we still do that on the schedule board? | You can still use the scheduling board after the active year switch. You will need to unlock the terms to be able to load students. Please double check third party vendor syncs are paused or aware prior to making major adjustments to the schedule. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | What all do I need to Roll Forward ? I don't want to miss anything. | Review the End of Year articles for all the information needed to close out the school year: https://ncdepartmentofpublicinstruction.knowledgeowl.com/home/eoy | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Other | NCED Connect is really soon. When will will have a link to reserve hotel rooms and register? | This is coming soon! Please keep an eye on the NCSIS bulletin. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | What time on 7/1/26 will DPI make 26-27 the Active year ? | PSUs are responsible for switching their own active years which should be completed prior to the first instructional day of the upcoming school year. NCDPI will update the State Edition's active year only early morning of July 1. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Enrollment/End Enrollment | We are used to selection the ABE as a grade level when selecting school grade for ending enrollments/rolling forward enrollments. Is there a reason this option is not available? | This is no longer a valid grade level. Please select the actual grade level a student would be in. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Discipline | You stated to have all data entered by 6/30 but if we are still working on corrections, can those still be made in the SIS untail August 21st? | Data should be entered by June 30th. If you find issues with the discipline data, please indicate that through the process that is sent out in mid-July. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | Is the ALPS updated and ready for entry now? I thought we were waiting on an update. | Due to upcoming fixes to the state report NC ALPS Extract in version 2623 of Infinite Campus, the report due date will be extended. More information will be shared once this release is in production. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Scheduling | Cami mentioned Erin's Ad Hoc for checking the 26-27 schedule for disabled course codes. Can you share which Ad Hoc that might have been? Thank you! | Reporting > Ad Hoc Reporting > Filter Designer > State Published > Disabled Courses: Sections Exist in Calendar and Disabled Courses: Courses Exist in Calendar. These ad hocs will not work until NCDPI moved the ended /disabled 25.26 course to the NC State Disabled Course Catalog. NCDPI will communicate when those disabled courses are moved to the disabled catalog. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Other | I will be disabling staff accounts while we are still working on scheduling. Is there a way to put a message on the 'green" sign-in page to let teachers know why the cannot log in at this time? | Please place a Campus Support Case to ask for available options. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Beginning of Year | Can we immediately begin enrolling and withdrawing students after we make 26-27 active in our PSU July 1st? | Yes | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Other | Last year, DPI had mass added the grad program to students. Is there any intention of DPI doing that again for the incoming freshmen? | Please watch for future communication on this from NCDPI. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Scheduling | I saw some new courses for 2026-27 that already shows in my Course Master. Are those being pushed down this year? (ex. IC242X0 Carpentry IV and IC245X0 Carpentry IV Honors) | Creating course masters only exists at the PSU level. For any new 26-27 course the PSU will need to use the tool "Add Course Master". Create course masters for all courses your schools will be using. Note: Course masters are also needed to manually update or add a transcript record for a transfer in student. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Other | Does the new grad program include the fine arts requirement or where will we see that requirement? | The new grad program does not include the Arts Ed Graduation Requirement. NCDPI is currently testing this as an academic program, and then show this as a Met Grad Requirement on the NC Official Transcript. Please watch for future communication from NCDPI. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | Do PSU's need to wait until after NCDPI updates the active year to 2026-2027 prior to locally setting the 2026-2027 SY active locally? | No, you do not need to wait. You can change the active year as soon as you have finished all of your EOY tasks. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | When I was going through the EOY checklist, I generated transcripts for my elementary schoolers (K-5). However, I have since learned from the Infinite Campus case I submitted that elementary schools aren't supposed to generate transcripts. Moving forward, do I need to uncheck the "post to transcript" box for all of the elementary courses? That was the suggestion from Infinite Campus, but I wanted to double check. | You can post grades to transcript for elementary students. This is desirable for students that may transfer to other PSUs so that the records transfer process can send final grades. You do not need to uncheck "post to transcript" for elementary courses. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | If we decide to wait to make the 26-27 school year active mid July, can we still use the scheduling board to load requests and tweak master schedule? | Yes you can continue to use the scheduling board. After you change your active year then you need to pause third party vendors syncing until you are finished in the scheduling board. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | Are there items in the task scheduler that we can not pause? I have three that do not give me the option to pause. | Only pause the task scheduler options that you set up in your PSU if necessary. Please do not pause any task scheduler options that were not created in your PSU. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | Are we required to schedule students into course sections for summer school for high school or can the final grade be entered into the transcript in the summer calendar along with the summer program? Thank you. | It is not required to have student's scheduled into courses for summer school. Grades can be added to the student's transcript tool as needed. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | Do we need to end date to all programs( FERPA, DLD, EL, etc) for all students or only students not returning next year? | The following programs need to be ended for all students: Homeless, FERPA, DLD, and RTA. All programs should be ended for students withdrawing from your PSU with the exception of the Dropout Program. Please reference the EOY presentation (starting on slide #92) for additional information if needed. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Resources/Training | Has it been finalized that we will continue to have access to Campus Passport courses and YES training for next year? | On May 21st the following statement was in the email about continued support: PSUs will continue to have access to a variety of self-service resources, including the Infinite Campus Community, Campus Passport (24/7 on-demand autonomous training), and the NCSIS Knowledge Base. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Resources/Training | We won a free registration for NCED Connect last year. Who do we contact to get the info from about to use that promo code? | Contact information will be shared out when conference registration opens. Stay tuned. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | Today we noticed some grades issues at one school and end enrollment dates at another school, so the end enrollment wizard will probably done after today, 6/30/26. Is that a problem, and if so, what would you suggest I do? | Please follow up on the Infinite Campus Ticket (Case). Make sure Infinite Campus is aware of the deadline. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Enrollment/End Enrollment | Is it ok to start withdrawing our Summer withdrawls on 7/1 or should we wait? | Yes, you can withdraw summer withdrawls on 7/1. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Grading | Do we use course code # 35012X0 Earth/Environ Science 1 for scheduling HS OCS students? | Please see NCSIS bulletin article SBE Policy Update: OCS & ECS Science Course Options - https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/NCSBE/bulletins/3ecc151 | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Enrollment/End Enrollment | We should have program enrollments and overlapping enrollments ended before going to the new year. What if we have some pending items that are dependent on another district? | You should make sure that your own district's tasks and enrollments for the 2025–2026 school year are completed and ended. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Discipline | I have a few local discipline codes that aren't mapped, and I can't find them anywhere. Where in SIS do local action codes live? | If you don't see the Local Codes at the All Schools level under Behavior Office > Settings > Resolution Setup, check the Resolution Setup at each school | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | The FERPA import from the OLR creates another program line but does not enter the school year connected to it. Are we supposed to end all FERPA even if the OLR is for the 26-27 school year? | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026
| Other | Is there a way to limit the data validations report that can be ran? | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026
| Discipline | On my 6/23/26 discipline audit report, I have Action Mapping tab where there are Local Action Codes not mapped to State Code. Will there be a form to complete to have these Local Action codes added? If not, what are the specific steps to complete to add these codes in our Resolution Setup? | Check for Local Codes at the All Schools level: Behavior Office > Settings > Resolution Setup. If those codes are not seen at the All school levels, check the Resolution Setup at each school. Once you select the loacally created code, you can select the State Resolution Code it should be mapped to. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Enrollment/End Enrollment | Should 3 year accelerated graduates that finish at the end of the 25-26 school year receive an end status of W4 or W6? | Graduate End statuses should be applied per the SASA: W4: Early Completer Withdrawal - Student completed the formal instructional program before the end of the school year calendar for one of the following reasons: • Graduated mid-year • Completed a formal instructional program, such as extended day, and earns a diploma or certificate at some point other than the end of the school year W6: High School Graduate - Student completed the graduation requirements at the end of the school year or shortly before the last day of school. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | EOY Process Overview - #7 - do I change the "User Group" Calendars before or after I change the Active School Year? | This can be effectively done either before or after the active school year is changed. Procedurally, however, it may make sense to change your groups after you change the active year. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | My summer school grads are showing as a warning on my GDV data validation report but are showing on the GDV extract in my reg calendar. We want to make sure that the summer calendar is supposed to have the W6 and the previous calendar end status would be EYC for all of the summer grads | Students that complete the current school year but do not graduate, must have a EYC end status. Students that complete graduation requirements after the last instructional day of the current year but before the first instructional day of the next year should have the a Summer School Calendar enrollment record recording the end status of W6. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Enrollment/End Enrollment | Are PSU's end dating students that are enrolled in the OMP NCDPI school? | OMP enrollments should be rolled forward for the future year and then ended for the current year at each PSU. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | Do I need to 100% have my calendar updated (with early relases and things like that) and my bell schedules (early release, exam, etc) updated before I flip to the new year? | No you do not have to have those completed before changing your active year. However, they should be completed before your first day of school. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Scheduling | If we haven't changed the active SY to 26-27 in IC yet, can we continue to make copies of the scheduling board/load/unload schedules as needed after 7/1? | Yes, you can work in the scheduling board including making copies of trials if you haven't switched the active year. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | If we have set up summer school in the 25-26 school year, do we need keep the 25-26 active until summer school ends? | The active year should be switched before the first instructional day of the new school year. Switching the active year can be completed when it is best for the PSU. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| End of Year | In regards to the scheduling board and locally switching the active school year to the future year, if the one roster sync is turned off, can you drag and drop sections on the scheduling board and continue to move sections around, and load and unload students until you turn the one roster sync back on? Basically is there anything you can not and should not do on the scheduling board after you switch the active year to the future year before you turn on your one roster sync? | You can continue to use the scheduling board with no limitations as long as you have the third party (one roster) sync paused. However, make sure staff are not manually changing schedules while you are continuing to utilize the scheduling board. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Attendance | If we run the attendance audit validation and have 1P>50%, do we need to correct those at this point? | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026
| Enrollment/End Enrollment | If a student pre-enrolled but then backs out and *has never attended*, can I delete that enrollment? Or do I have to put them as a "no show"? | Starting 7/1, enrollments must be marked a “No Show” and not be deleted if you have the proper documentation that a student will not attend your school for the 26-27 year | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
| Scheduling | If we have not changed our active year and schools are still working in their scheduling board, will it cause issues if we update course names or credit groups (Comp Sci) and then push the master to the schools/sections? I'm thinking it might delete their Term-Schedules-Periods and remove the course from their board. | It is best to only push the changes to the year where they occur. If you have not switched the year, pushing the changes to the 26-27 year should not impact the scheduling board in the 25-26 year. Also, note that in the NC Course Catalog setup you can uncheck items that impact scheduling such as the terms, periods, and schedules so when pushing data from the course master, it will not change what school calendars have setup. | NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026 |
