End of YearWe experimented with making 26-27 the active year in our sandbox. Is it one checkbox for the entire district? We thought it was a school by school setting. We were doing it for one school and then went to do the next and 26-27 was already active at that 2nd school.

RtA camp participants, students taking random college classes, students taking Edmentum classes to get ahead, students who failed a class and are retaking it via Edmentum to be promoted, students who failed a class and are retaking it via Edmentum but the course didn't prevent them from being promoted? The only students that are actually coming to campus are the RtA camp students.Any student that receives instruction through a school will need a summer education program to indicate their retention/promotion status at the end of the summer.NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026

SchedulingWhat is the best way to load students after July 1? Can we still do that on the schedule board? You can still use the scheduling board after the active year switch. You will need to unlock the terms to be able to load students. SchedulingCami mentioned Erin's Ad Hoc for checking the 26-27 schedule for disabled course codes. Can you share which Ad Hoc that might have been? Thank you!Reporting > Ad Hoc Reporting > Filter Designer > State Published > Disabled Courses: Sections Exist in Calendar and Disabled Courses: Courses Exist in Calendar. These ad hocs will not work until NCDPI moved the ended /disabled 25.26 course to the NC State Disabled Course Catalog. SchedulingI saw some new courses for 2026-27 that already shows in my Course Master. Are those being pushed down this year? (ex. IC242X0 Carpentry IV and IC245X0 Carpentry IV Honors)Creating course masters only exists at the PSU level. For any new 26-27 course the PSU will need to use the tool "Add Course Master". Create course masters for all courses your schools will be using. Note: Course masters are also needed to manually update or add a transcript record for a transfer in student. OtherDoes the new grad program include the fine arts requirement or where will we see that requirement? The new grad program does not include the Arts Ed Graduation Requirement. NCDPI is currently testing this as an academic program, and then show this as a Met Grad Requirement on the NC Official Transcript. End of YearWhen I was going through the EOY checklist, I generated transcripts for my elementary schoolers (K-5). However, I have since learned from the Infinite Campus case I submitted that elementary schools aren't supposed to generate transcripts. Moving forward, do I need to uncheck the "post to transcript" box for all of the elementary courses? That was the suggestion from Infinite Campus, but I wanted to double check. You can post grades to transcript for elementary students. This is desirable for students that may transfer to other PSUs so that the records transfer process can send final grades. DisciplineOn my 6/23/26 discipline audit report, I have Action Mapping tab where there are Local Action Codes not mapped to State Code. Will there be a form to complete to have these Local Action codes added? If not, what are the specific steps to complete to add these codes in our Resolution Setup?Check for Local Codes at the All Schools level: Behavior Office > Settings > Resolution Setup. If those codes are not seen at the All school levels, check the Resolution Setup at each school. End of YearIn regards to the scheduling board and locally switching the active school year to the future year, if the one roster sync is turned off, can you drag and drop sections on the scheduling board and continue to move sections around, and load and unload students until you turn the one roster sync back on? Basically is there anything you can not and should not do on the scheduling board after you switch the active year to the future year before you turn on your one roster sync?You can continue to use the scheduling board with no limitations as long as you have the third party (one roster) sync paused. SchedulingIf we have not changed our active year and schools are still working in their scheduling board, will it cause issues if we update course names or credit groups (Comp Sci) and then push the master to the schools/sections? I'm thinking it might delete their Term-Schedules-Periods and remove the course from their board.It is best to only push the changes to the year where they occur. If you have not switched the year, pushing the changes to the 26-27 year should not impact the scheduling board in the 25-26 year. Also, note that in the NC Course Catalog setup you can uncheck items that impact scheduling such as the terms, periods, and schedules so when pushing data from the course master, it will not change what school calendars have setup.NCSIS Coordinator Collaborative June 30, 2026
