2	Essentials
3	Ticket to Camp	x					Cache the PDF on your phone or be a sucker and print it out. Don't expect the internet to be working when you get there.
4	Passport	x					Keeping a photo copy of your passport, ID, social security card, Google auth backup codes, somewhere safe that isn't your wallet. tip: get a passport card for everyday use
5	Bank card	x					Or some other way of producing paper money.
6	Call your bank and provide travel schedule	x					Because banks suck at knowing any better.
7	Cash	x					There might be ATM machines, there might not be a network for them to work off of.
8	Ear plugs	x					Sleeping is the most important activity, you want to do everything you can to make sure you get some. Read the instructions.
9	Sleeping bag	x					If this is your first time, make sure this is a sleping bag you've slept in before, with the heat off, and you felt comfortable in.
10	Sleeping pad	x					If you haven't camped before, the ground will sink all your body heat out of you unless you've got a pad. If you buy a new pad, inflate it and test over night. Remember you'll most likely have to add a little more air every night before bed.
11	Tent with rain fly	x					The chance for rain is always there.
12	Stakes for tent	x					Wind is always a problem.
13	Day bag	x					A small bag to keep stuff with you when you wander around, like your laptop, water, snacks, light, Mate.
14	Hydration container	x					You will want to drink every night, remember to hydrate when you can or you will die. Water bottle with a clip to attach to your day bag works great.
15	Sunscreen	x					If you are reading this you are most likely white. Do not forget to sunscreen. As much as it's horrible for the environment, spray on sunscreen is much less annoying to apply than lotion. Read the directions, rub into skin after sprying, remember to yell WITNESS ME before applying.

19	Tarp for under your tent			x			Helps to prevent rocks and twigs from poking through, also keeps wet grond from potentially soaking through the floor of your tent.
20	Shade over tent				x		It will get hot, you will learn that you cannot sleep past 7 or 8 because of the sun. Shade is helpful, but sometimes you can do without.
21	Doormat for tent				x
22	Air mattress				x		If you can get away with it.
23	Pump for air mattress + batteries				x		No cars will be camped in our area, so don't get one that requires 12V.
24	Pillows	x					If you're going to try to do this ultra light, just do yourself a favor and buy a pillow when you get into Berlin. You will be much happier in the morning.

27	Camping chair			x			Bringing a spare is smart.
28	Trash bag		x				You will produce gross trash in your tent and not want to get out of bed, plastic grocery bag works, or large ziplock.

32	Do your laundry before heading out to camp	x					Having clean clothes will keep you happy.
33	Undies (5+)	x					One for each day of camp.
34	Socks (5+)	x					One pair for each day of camp.
35	Shirts/tank tops (5+)	x					One for each day of camp.
36	Shorts (2)	x					One will get gross and you'll end up trying to hand wash and line dry.

47	Comfortable shoes	x					I can get away with my sports sneakers, others like having boots. Just remember you'll be walking everywhere, you might do some heavy work, you might get wet.

52	Bathing suit			x			There will be a lake and river for swimming. However, this is Germany: bathing suits are optional
53	Flip flops			x			When getting up in the middle of the night it's super awesome not to have to put your boots back on to go to the bathroom. Also, if you're camping some place with showers, your flip flops will save you from all sorts of foot related troubles.

59	Multitool		x				In most EU countries it's illegal to carry around a blade that's longer than 5cm, can be opened with one hand, and locks. Keep it burried in your backpack if you bring one, and play Stupid Tourist if you some how manage to get yourself searched.
