PURPOSE OF ROADMAPThrough the Empower Your Dreams experience, we hope you will learn many things that make you a stronger entrepreneur and help you discover what works and what doesn't work for your business.

Along the way you'll learn and use planning tools and work with your team to set goals and work together to make the most progress you can, compared to where you started at the beginning of EYD, and compared to other teams competing in EYD.

As you participate in Empower Your Dreams, you need to learn and gather more info about your business concept. The following 7 areas are critical to the success of any business, and the 8th area, impact, is essential for social enterprises and nonprofits.

WEEKLY FOCUSClear goal to motivate & align cofounders / advisors to make consistent progress

SALES & MARKETINGTasks that strengthen the customer base, evaluate the market opportunity, generate income, and secure feedback from customers or target customers to help shape product / service decisions.

PRODUCT / SERVICEDevelopment, manufacturing, design, and delivery of the product or service to your customer base. Includes testing, user feedback / design, manufacturing processes, supply chain, shipping, costing, and all aspects of creating and fulfilling product and service experiences for customers.

TEAMDescribe the team you have working with you, their roles (cofounder, staff, advisor, or contract labor) and how much time they are working (full-time, half-time, or 1/4 or less (10 hours / week).

EXPENSESHow much will you spend, and what items will the funds be used to purchase?

EXTERNAL FUNDINGWill you need any external funding to meet your current expenses for the business? What type of funds will you seek and when / how much will be deposited?
