20141011Luke 11:27-28http://www.catholic.org/bible/daily_reading/?select_date=2014-10-11Dear God
Thank you very much for the beatitude (blessedness / happiness) that You lovingly bestow to us.
Please help us to remember that everytime we think that we are rejected from something good, we are actually being redirected to something better.
Please guide us to humbly submit ourselves to Your plan, as Mother Mary humbly submitted herself to Your miraculous plan for the incarnation of Jesus.
Thank you God.

https://bible.org/seriespage/parable-wedding-banquet-matthew-221-14God's grace is a free gift, but it is also an awesome responsibilitly.
"Cheap grace is the grace we bestow on ourselves ... the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance ... grace withut discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus CHrist, living and incarnate ... Costly grace is the gospel which must be sought again and again, the gift which must be asked for, the door at which a man must knock. Such grace is costly because it calls us to follow Jesus Christ. It is costly because it costs a man his life, and it is grace because it gives a man the only true life." ~ Dieterich Bonhoeffer, a Lutheran pastor and theologian in Germany who died for his faith under Hitler's Nazi rule

Thank you for the food that You have given to us, to nourish Our Body, Mind and Soul.
Thank you for many #HappyBreakfast #HappyBrunch #HappyLunch #HappyDinner #HappySupper and the people whom we gratefully have had the opportunities to dine with, to share our meals.
Thank you for letting us to enjoy food from all over the world, and appreciate the unique local produce that You made possible.
Please help us to be generous in sharing our food, especially to those who are hungry.
Please protect our loved ones, family and friends, to never starve in their lives on this nourishing Mother Earth.

20141015Luke 11:42-46http://www.catholic.org/bible/daily_reading/?select_date=2014-10-15Dear Our Father in Heaven
Thank you for all the Blessings You have Given to us.
Thank you for the people who love us, the food that nourish our body, and knowledge that stimulates our mind, and an opportunity to listen to Your Gospel.
Please help us to remember to care for the needy and the weak.
Please clear our hearts from any pride and contempt for others, but fill our hearts with kindness, mercy and goodness toward every person we know and meet.
Please help us to always remember the essence of Your commandments : LOVE.
When we ask who is God, what is God, let the first answer be God is love (1 John 4:8).
Please guide us to love more unconditionally.
Please help us to remember that we have sufficient grace daily to love.
"Lord Jesus, inflame my heart with your love that I may always pursue what matters most - love of you, my Lord and my God, and love of my fellow neighbor whom you have made in your own image and likeness."

20141017Luke 12:1-7http://www.catholic.org/bible/book.php?id=49&bible_chapter=12Fear is a powerful force. It can lead people to panic and flight or it can catalyze us to take action. "A healthy fear of God lead us to spiritual maturity, wisdom and right judgment and it frees us from the tyrany of sinful pride, deceit, and cowardice - especially in the face of evil, falsehood, and deception."
Luke 12:7 : "Why, every hair on your head has been counted. There is no need to be afraid: you are worth more than many sparrows."
Anyone (including the Pharisees, you and me) can display outward signs of goodness while inwardly harboring evil thoughts and intentions. Thus, we need to pray more to God for grace to transform our hearts and minds to overcome hatred with LOVE, pride with HUMILITY and pretense and hypocrisy with INTEGRITY and TRUTHFULNESS.

20141019Matthew 22:15-21http://www.rc.net/wcc/readings/oct19.htmThe Pharisees were the Jewish religious group that opposed the Roman occupation of the Jewish people, whereas the Herodians supported Herod Antipas and the Roman-instituted policies. These two groups were bitter enemies, but they united against Jesus because the formers felt threatened by Jesus for the religious control of the people and the temple, whereas the lattters felt their King Herod's leadership was threatened by Jesus.
Thus, these two groups planned to trap Jesus by asking about paying Roman taxes. "If Jesus answered that it was lawful to pay taxes to a pagan ruler, then he would lose credibility with the Jewish nation who would regard him as a coward and a friend of Caesar. If he said it was not lawful, then the Pharisees would have grounds to report him to the Roman authorities as a political trouble-maker and have him arrested. " However, Jesus avoided their trap by tactfully confronting them with the image of a coin. Jesus explained that what belonged to Caesar must be given to Caesar and "Give to God what belongs to God".
Dear God
Thank you for the Beatitudes that You have bestowed on us.
Thank you for reminding us that we have been "stamped" with God's image and likenesss, as Genesis 1:26-27 goes, "God created man in His own image ... male and female He created them."
Please help us to remember and be committed to give to everyone whatever is their due and to "owe no one anything, except to love one another" (Romans 13:6-8).
Please help us to focus on doing Your Will and not be concerned with anyone's opinion like how Jesus is not concerned with the opnion of the Pharisees and the Herodians.
Please guide us to have the diplomatic and tactful skills in dealing with everyday life's challenges, to promote harmony and love, just like how Jesus skillfully manoeuvred the trap in a religious-state issue.
Please help us to always remember that our lives and everything we possess - our Gifts, our desire, our successes and failures, our wealth, our protégé, our children and grandchildren - all belong to God.
Direct us please to responsibly use the Gifts that You have uniquely grant us for glorifying You and the betterment of other people's lives.
Guide us please to know by love what we know by understanding.
Draw us please to you Lord in the fullness of love.

Please grant us a listening ear and attentive intuition to know immediately when and where to serve and help others.

Thank you for the good rest that You have given us in the past weekend.
Thank you for reminding us to be kind and compassionate to any widow, orphan, and poor neighbors.
Thank you for highlighting to us that it is better to give instead of to lend, if someone poor asks for money.

Please help us to LOVE You, with all our heart, all our soul, and all our mind, more than ever.

persevering faithfulness.
Prayer: Father, may I put in a good day's work for You each day.
Dear God
Thank you for highlighting that many from the Gentile (non-Jewish nations) would enter God's kingdom.
Thank you for Your uncompromising love - the "love that has been poured into our hearts through the gift of the Spirit which has been given to us" [Romans 5:5].
Please teach us discipline in the pursuit of Your's will and faithfulness in You.
Thank you for reminding us (through Uncle Thich) that we must be grateful for every moment of peace and joy that we have, and strive to create such moment regardless of our changing emotions and circumstances.
Only when we feel peaceful, then we can spread our peace and joy to others, especially those who are suffering.
Never give up, because God is with us and His Grace is sufficient, especially in great trials, turbulations, and temptations.
"Lord Jesus, may I never doubt your guiding presence and mercy towards me.
Through the gift of your Spirit fill me with courage and perservering faith to trust you in all things and every circumstance I find myself in.
Give me the strength to cling to your promises when the world around me begins to shake or crumble.
And when my love and zeal begin to waver, fan it into a flame of consuming love and dedication for you who are my All."
20141031Luke 14:1-6Dear God
Please help our loved ones who are not well to recover fully and completely. Please.
God's work of love and mercy never rests,
Please grant good health to us and our loved ones.
Please remind us to sleep, eat well and exercise our mind and body.
Thank you God.

Dear Our Father in Heaven
Thank you for making us Your children.
Please help us to remember that we are God's children and You always Love us.
"Father, we want so much to be close to You. Thank You for surrounding us with a cloud of saintly witnesses (Heb 12:1). We will join with the saints in praising You today and forever."

Please help us to remember that "the gate that leads to damnation is wide, the road is clear, and many choose to travel it. But how narrow is the gate that leads to life, how rough the road, and how few there are who find it!" (Mt 7:13-14)
We choose to be poor, sorrowing, and lowly in our hunger to follow Your teachings.
Guide us pelase to be meeker, more merciful and peace-loving than ever.
Please give us the strength to endure pain and insults.
Please help our loved ones who are not well to recover fast and completely.
Please grant good health to our loved ones: family members, friends, colleagues and neighbors.
20141102John 6:37-40***
And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years,
and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be
healed by anyone. She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his
garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased. And Jesus said,
“Who was it that touched me?” When all denied it, Peter said, “Master,
the crowds surround you and are pressing in on you!” But Jesus said,
“Someone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone out from me.”
And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and
falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why
she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed.
Dear God
Please help our children and grandchildren to live better and longer than us.
20141103Luke 8:43-48http://biblehub.com/commentaries/luke/8-43.htmfrom: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001488.htm
Around half of all fertilized eggs die and are lost (aborted) spontaneously, usually before the woman knows she is pregnant. Among women who know they are pregnant, the miscarriage rate is about 15-20%.
Last night, I learned about the fate of a baby whom did not make it to her 2 years birthday, and whom a friend Dewi helped to take care.
Dear God
Thank you for all the Blessings that You have given us.
Being alive is a miracle, especially knowing that 15-20% of known pregnancy ends up in miscarriages and among born babies, not all make it to adulthood.
Please grant us the daily awareness on the preciousness and fragility of lives, NEVER let our parents to experience the extreme sadness of burying the young ones (Never ever let 白头人送黑头人!), by staying healthy and being careful.
Please bestow us the determination to care for our little and young ones so that they will live better and longer than us, and the courage to face otherwise if You Plan so.
Please always remind us that every single day of life is highly precious.
Let us use our days to bring only kindness and goodness to serve others with our hearts.
Our Father in Heaven, please help us to count St Martin de Porress as a role model, for he perservered as a caretaker, janitor and miraculous healer in the monastery.
No jobs (e.g. janitor) are too lowly as long as they are to serve others and not harming anyone.
20141103Philippians 2:22 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.Dear God
Please help us to remember that not trying to change others' minds to make them like ours.
This is because, we ourselves, when we realize that someone is trying to change our minds, we often rebel - which are harmful for harmony and unity.
20141103Luke 14:12-14http://www.luke1412.org/12 Then Jesus said to his host, “When
you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your
brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do,
they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. 13 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14 and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
Dear God
Please help us to show favor and generosity not only to those who can / will repay us, but also especially to those who do not have the means to repay us: the poor, the sick, the disadvantages.
Giving does not impoverish, but enriches the soul of the giver.
Although we will never outgive God in Your generosity toward us (just like we will never be able to repay the Love that our parents have bestowed on us), we still aspire to learn about mercy, compassion and kindness from You Lord.
God, help us to Give Freely, to Give More than we receive, to Give First, to Give without being asked.
Purify our hearts and minds, so that "irrespective how we feel when we first meet someone, we always find something to like about somebody."
20141104Luke 14:15-24https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2014:15-24I think a friend changed the timing of a dinner (@Lebanese Flower) just to suit my schedule.
Kalau kita selalu bersyukur apa yg kita punya, terus berkarya, Tuhan akan memberi lebih dari sebelumnya ... sehingga kalau ada kelebihan, bisa dipakai utk membahagiakan orang lain.
Dear God
Wow, every morning I wake up to the beautiful sunrise that shines my day. Your creations are awesome, Lord!
Thank you for the gifts (food, people, friendships, intelligence, creativity) that You have given us.
Thank you for the good night rest so that we are recharged to learn, work, and contribute in our professions.
Please help us to remember what our MITs (Most Important Things) are: God, faith, hope, love.
Father, I accept Your invtiation to empty myself. Be quiet.
Sorry that I have not been as disciplined and committed as I wish in seeking You and doing Your Will in the past.
Please free us from excuses that hold us back from pursuing the things of God.
Please help us to remember not to allow social media to crowd out time for God in our daily prayer and reflection.
Please help us to consistently invite God into our homes (and family) and our work, always seek God's words in Gospel again and again.
Help us to always remember that Grace is a free gift, but it is also an awesome responsibility.
Thank you God for Always loving us, especially in the moments when it seems that nobody cares due to our changing emotions and circumstances.
20141105Luke 14:25-33Lost in translation?
'hate' here means 'prefer less' / 'prioritize lower'.
True love = willingness to sacrifice all for the sake of the beloved.
This reminds me on stories from Fr. Kenny: a young woman who wants to do a missionary service in Africa but has to leave her elderly (dependent) mother alone in Singapore.
Does the young woman "hates her mother to be Jesus' disciple"?
What would you do if (imagine) you are this young woman or someone whom the young woman seek a piece of advice for?
For more, see 20141105*.txt
Dear God
Thank you for Your Love to us.
We must believe that God has good plans for us;
we must remember to plan ahead to avoid disasters.
Thank you for reminding us to know ourselves and others (as highlighted by the King before going to the battle); and be prepared (as highlighted by the need to calculate the cost before constructing a tower).
Let us surrender our fear and disappointment to You, for You are the Almighty able to absorb all our negative emotions and transform them into faith, hope and love.
Please help us to practice the art of detachment from our possessions, because all of them are entrusted Gifts from You to serve You and other people with love.
20141106Luke 15:1-10https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2015:1-10Dear God
Thank you for forgiving us.
Help us to always seek Your forgiveness.
Please help us to give chance to others who have sinned against us, for Jesus embraces the lost sheep, tax collectors and the sinners.
To quote J.R.R. Tolkien, "Not all those who wander are lost,"
Please help us to remember that no matter how bad a person is, there is always hope that s/he will repent.
20141107Luke 12:48http://www.gotquestions.org/much-given-required.html"From everyone who has been #given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been #entrusted with much, much more will be asked"
Peter Parker in Spider-man: “With great power comes great responsibility.”
Paul said, “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully” (Romans 12:6–8).

20141109John 2:13-22https://hotair.com/archives/2014/11/09/sunday-reflection-john-213-22/Today is the feast day of the dedication of St. John Lateran Basilica in Rome. Not too many people know that this church, and not St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, is the official cathedral seat for the Bishop of Rome and therefore the Pope. Its original construction in 324 AD followed shortly after the adoption of Christianity as the official religion of the Roman empire, and the basilica became known as the “mother church” after the pontiff chose it for his official location. The current St. John Lateran is a magnificent structure, rebuilt in the 16th century after the decline of the Avignon period and two 14th-century fires made Lateran unusable when the papacy returned to Rome and moved to the Vatican for practical reasons. Still, Lateran remains the “mother church” and the ceremonial seat for the Pope in Rome in his role as bishop.

the interior of Lateran gets a significant amount of natural light in its nave and altar area

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

The HUMAN HEART, where will and intellect meet, is the TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, not a building or a leader of the church. Even the magnificent buildings of Rome, such as St. John Lateran, are useful only to the extent that it brings the community together and lifts them up so that their hearts can truly house the Holy Spirit.

look for the Holy Spirit within yourself and open your heart to Jesus Christ, because you are the temple of God, and He wants to help you build it every day on the foundation of Christ.
20141110Psalm 75https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+75God waits for the perfect time to work. You may fear He has forgotten the situations that weigh so heavily on your heart. Be assured He knows exactly what He is doing. However, right now be steadfast and hang on to Him. Even though you do not see the evidence of His hand at work, He is wholeheartedly committed to honoring His promises to you. God has a plan and at the right moment, you will see it unfold. He will work all things together for your good in due time. He will accomplish His will in your life. In time, you will see how He has been working in the unseen. Psalm 75.

20141112lk 17:11-19http://www.jesuswalk.com/lessons/17_11-19.htmLeprosy in Biblical times was a terrible thing. Whatever it was, once a person caught it, it was considered incurable, and those diagnosed with leprosy were banned from society.
The Thankful Samaritan throws himself at Jesus' feet as a sign of utter humility. He touches Jesus, no doubt, and Jesus doesn't recoil from him as if he had "cooties." Jesus receives his thanks graciously. The leper (1) gives glory to God and (2) thanks Jesus. The thankful leper may not know that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, but certainly he credits Jesus as being God's instrument for his healing.
The surprise in this healing is that the only thankful one is a non-Jew.

Jesus offers this thankful leper more than others. They received healing, but this Samaritan receives a deeper salvation in addition. His faith has prompted him to return to the feet of Jesus in thanks, and that personal contact, that personal submission signifies a soul healing that is more than skin deep.

Our best may not be better. It may not even be that good. Nonetheless, the Lord is pleased with our best. It is a sacrifice acceptable to Him.

20141119Exodus 33:14Moses was a man of prayer. He spent a great deal of time being in fellowship with and talking to God. Can you imagine being responsible for the daily care of 2 million people - people who were not appreciative but spend their time complaining and finding fault with him? Wouldn't this be an ideal situation for losing one's cool and peace? Yet God told Moses: ""My presence will go with you and I will give you rest."" (Exodus 33:14). Listen. God's presence can give you PEACE IN ANY SITUATION including a difficult workplace or a home that is constant upheaval. It can enable you to SHOW LOVE in the face of abuse and PATIENCE in the midst of stress. So this morning, spend time in God's presence.
20141120Luke 19:41-44http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?d=11/20/2003 let us accept Jesus as our Peace, Lord, Savior, and God. Let us not stumble over the cross but recognize it as the hope of the world, for Jesus makes "peace through the blood of His cross" (Col 1:20).

The biblical story of David and Goliath is regularly invoked when an UNDERDOG must face a much stronger opponent. God will use the unique skills he's already placed in your hands, so don't worry about ""wearing the King's armor."" Just be yourself and use the familiar gifts and talents God has given you. He will work miracles through you.
Do you need to take courageous action in the face of insults and fearful circumstances?

20141123Mt 25:31-46http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?d=11/20/2011To be on King Jesus' right, to inherit His kingdom, we must:

be "begotten of water and Spirit" (Jn 3:5),
"seek first His kingdom over us and His way of righteousness" (Mt 6:33, our transl),
love the Lord with all our hearts (Lk 10:27) and practically express our love for the poor, the hungry and thirsty, the refugees and strangers, the naked, the sick, and the imprisoned (Mt 25:35ff),
love the Church (Eph 5:25) and be submissive to her authority, for Jesus has entrusted to the Pope and the Church the keys of His kingdom (Mt 16:19), and
give everything for His kingdom (Mt 13:44, 46).
Dear God
Thank you for Your Love and Blessings to us.
Jesus, I submit my life to You.
Please guide and help us to "practically express our love for the poor, the hungry and thirsty, the refugees and strangers, the naked, the sick, and the imprisoned (Mt 25:35)".
Please help us to forgive those who have sinned against us.
Please help us to be responsible by living our lives carefully and committedly.
Thank you Lord, Amen.
20141124Luke 21:1-4https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2021:1-4The Widow’s Offering of two very small copper coins, giving out of her poverty, unlike those who give our of their wealth.
How can someone in poverty give more than someone who has ample means? Jesus' answer is very simple – love is more precious than gold or wealth!
Jesus taught that real giving must come from the heart. A gift that is given with a grudge or for display loses its value.
"Lord Jesus, your love knows no bounds and you give without measure. All that I have comes from you. May I give freely and generously in gratitude for all that you have given to me. Take my life and all that I possess – my gifts, talents, time and resources – and use them as you see fit for your glory."
20141124Psalm 13https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+13The spiritual strength that God gives you is founded on the wonder-working triad of FAITH, HOPE and LOVE. God has shown you how you are to behave with others by actively demonstrating these 3 virtues through His unblemised behavior toward you. If you take God at His Word, your day-to-day life should be a reflection or an acting-out of His promises to you. Your relationship with others should be an energetic, vital mirror image of the trustworthy, loving and merciful God you have come to know. Ask God this morning to help you build your life upon the principles of faith, hope and love. May God guide and keep you on the right path.
20141125Genesis 21http://ucb.cmhosts.net/index.cfm?itemid=88&testdate=03%20Dec%202004"When God promises you something and it does not happen right away, it is easy to get impatient. Abraham took matters into his own hands by fathering Ishmael. When God did send Isaac through Sarah, both boys ended up living under the same roof. Right and wrong, wheat and tares, they grew up together. Look out! It's possible to be blessed in 1 area of your life, while in another there's a growing problem that will overwhelm you unless you handle it. You need to stand up and declare, "Enough is enough. I'm going to clean my house and straighten my life." Today, deal with your 'Ishmael' and refuse to let your enemy send anything into your life that will undermine your blessings!"

If Hagar and Ishmael had behaved well in Abraham's family, they might have continued there. By abusing privileges, we forfeit them.

His impulsiveness led Esau into making bad decisions. He thought only of his instant gratification and momentary need, giving little thought to the future. Bear in mind that EVERY LITTLE DECISION THAT WE MAKE TODAY BEARS CONSEQUENCES IN THE FUTURE, if not tomorrow. CHOOSE LIFE, CHOOSE RIGHT and CHOOSE GOD and we will never go wrong!

What we can be assured of is that if we do all things and ATTEND TO OUR WORK AND STUDY AS A SERVICE FOR GOD, God will provide the skills and the wisdom to do all His work. 20141210Matthew 6:5-6https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+6:5-6"Just prior to giving his disciples the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus offered some preliminary ideas, including this one: “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. . . . But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen . . . in secret” (Matt 6:5–6). The infallible test of spiritual integrity, Jesus says, is YOUR PRIVATE PRAYER LIFE."
20141212Luke 3:21–22https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+3:21-22Jesus Christ taught his disciples to pray, healed people with prayers, denounced the corruption of the temple worship (which, he said, should be a “house of prayer”), and insisted that some demons could be cast out only through prayer. He prayed often and regularly with fervent cries and tears (Heb 5:7), and sometimes all night. The Holy Spirit came upon him and anointed him as he was praying (Luke 3:21–22), and he was transfigured with the divine glory as he prayed (Luke 9:29). When he faced his greatest crisis, he did so with prayer. We hear him praying for his disciples and the church on the night before he died (John 17:1–26) and then petitioning God in agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. Finally, he died praying.

Immediately after their Lord’s death, the disciples prepare for the future by being “constantly in prayer” together (Acts 1:14). All church gatherings are “devoted . . . to prayer” (Acts 2:42; 11:5; 12:5, 12).

The power of the Spirit descends on the early Christians in response to powerful prayer, and leaders are selected and appointed only with prayer. All Christians are expected to have a regular, faithful, devoted, fervent prayer life. In the book of Acts, prayer is one of the main signs that the Spirit has come into the heart through faith in Christ. The Spirit gives us the confidence and desire to pray to God and enables us to pray even when we don’t know what to say. Christians are taught that prayer should pervade their whole day and whole life—they should “pray without ceasing” (1 Thess 5:17).

Prayer is so great that wherever you look in the Bible, it is there. Why? Everywhere God is, prayer is. Since God is everywhere and infinitely great, prayer must be all-pervasive in our lives.

"Elijah is indeed coming, and he will restore everything." —Matthew 17:11
John the Baptist = the coming Elijah.
"All we have to do is what Elijah and John did — be FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT, OBEY THE LORD, and focus on turning the hearts of fathers to their children. If we do this much, we will do our part to bring about universal restoration and hasten Jesus' final coming (2 Pt 3:12). YoU aRe another Elijah and John. Work and live accordingly."
20141214John 1:1-14https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+1:1-14Jesus Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1–14) because no more COMPREHENSIVE, PERSONAL, and BEAUTIFUL COMMUNICATION of God is possible. We cannot look directly at the sun with our eyes. The glory of it would immediately overwhelm and destroy our sight. We have to look at it through a filter, and then we can see the great flames and colors of it. When we look at Jesus Christ as he is shown to us in the Scriptures, we are looking at the glory of God through the filter of a human nature. That is one of the many reasons, as we shall see, that Christians pray “in Jesus’ name.” Through Christ, prayer becomes what Scottish Reformer John Knox called “an earnest and familiar talking with God,” and John Calvin called an “intimate conversation” of believers with God, or elsewhere “a communion of men with God”—a two-way communicative interaction. “For through [Christ] we . . . have access to the Father by one Spirit” (Eph 2:18).
Dear God
Thank you for every day of life that You Have Given us.
Thank you for the intelligence that You grant us,
so that we can seek more knowledge of You, Lord.
Please always remind us that Jesus represents the glory of God through the filter of a human nature,

Thank you for reminding us to constantly pray to You, in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+1%3A4&version=NABREBE THANKFUL - this should be our attitude toward others. Believers are challenged to look at their loved ones, friends, co-workers, neighbors and acquaintances with a spirit of gratefulness. Know that as you read this meditation this morning, someone is giving thanks for you - for God's work in your life and for what you mean to the people around you. Even for difficult people, you can praise God that HE IS TEACHING YOU SOMETHING through difficult ppl. He is growing you through them. Practise what Paul did in 1 Corinthians 1:4 and Ephesians 1:16 and you will be amazed at how God will bless you as you learn to thank Him for the people who have crossed your path!Dear God
Thank you for all the harvest that You have given us.
Please grant us safe flights to appreciate the Xmas 2014 and welcome New Year 2015.
Please grant us a productive year of 2015.
20141221Luke 1:26-38http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?d=12/21/2014Dear God
Thank you for Your Blessings,
to allow us to learn about You and the Nature.
Please guide us to fear nothing except You, God like how Mother Mary showed her courage (Luke 1:30).
Thank you for filling us with God's Grace (Luke 1:30).
Please help us to believe that "nothing is impossible with God" (Lk 1:37),
and trust "that the Lord's words" to us will "be fulfilled" (Lk 1:45).
Please make our dream to visit Iceland, re-ignited yesterday, a reality.

Please help me to practice selective ignorance to verything that takes my focus away from Jesus.
Thank you for reminding us, through Mother Mary, that You has MERCY on those who fear You in every generation.
Lord, Have mercy on us please.

20150227Matthew 5:20-26http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?d=6/12/2008"May I be no man's enemy, and may I be the friend of that which is eternal and abides.
May I never quarrel with those nearest me: and if I do, may I be reconciled quickly.
May I love, seek, and attain only that which is good.
May I wish for all men's happiness and envy none.
May I never rejoice in the ill-fortune of one who has wronged me.
When I have done or said what is wrong, may I never wait for the rebuke of others, but always rebuke myself until I make amends.
May I win no victory that harms either me or my opponent.
May I reconcile friends who are angry with one another.
May I never fail a friend who is in danger.
When visiting those in grief may I be able by gentle and healing words to soften their pain.
May I respect myself.
May I always keep tame that which rages within me.
May I accustom myself to be gentle, and never be angry with people because of circumstances.
May I never discuss who is wicked and what wicked things he has done, but know good men and follow in their footsteps."
