How to Use This Workbook
22
Each tab is a complete, standalone post-event resource sheet for one event, in chronological order: Session Overview, session summary, topics covered, the series arc, curated learning resources by theme, certifications, and community links. This Cover tab summarizes the series as a whole and closes with takeaways that held true across all six events, not just one.

Universal Takeaways Across the Series
28
Location is a signal, not a filter. Every event that touched geospatial data — Location Intelligence, Global Fabric Day's WHERE session, and Get to Know Esri — made the same point from a different angle: a coordinate unlocks proximity, clustering, routing, demographics, and environmental context. Treat location as a first-class analytic dimension, not a label to filter on.
29
Fabric's real advantage is unification, not any single workload. OneLake, Fabric IQ, Real-Time Intelligence, ArcGIS, and Entra ID/Purview were repeatedly framed as one connected platform rather than separate tools to reconcile. The ecosystem (partners, ISVs, and open-source formats like GeoParquet and Apache Sedona) compounds that advantage.
30
Security and governance are properties of the platform, not add-ons. From Global Fabric Day's four-layer security model (Entra ID identity → workspace RBAC → row/object-level security → network and compliance controls) to the dedicated Security and Governance session's deep Purview coverage, the throughline was that trust has to be built in from OneLake up, not bolted on afterward.
31
AI is only as trustworthy as the data feeding it. The Six Cs of AI readiness (Complete, Consistent, Current, Correct, Contextual, Governed) from Global Fabric Day and Fabric IQ's semantic-model-and-ontology approach both point to the same conclusion: a governed semantic layer, not a bigger model, is what turns raw data into decisions an organization can act on.
32
Agent governance is identity governance. Every session that touched AI agents (Fabric IQ, Global Fabric Day's WHO session, and the security session) converged on the same pattern: dedicated service-principal identities, least-privilege read access by default, approval gates for writes, and full audit trails through Purview. No human-credential borrowing, no autonomous write-back.
33
KQL is becoming the shared language across data, security, and real-time work. The closing KQL session showed the same query language powering Sentinel/Defender threat hunting, Eventhouse real-time analytics, and geospatial joins — a genuinely reusable skill that pays off in more than one job function.
34
The certification map spans more than Fabric. Across the series, the panel and individual sessions referenced a wide credential set: PL-300, DP-600, DP-700, DP-750, DP-800 on the data side; SC-300, SC-401, SC-500, SC-100 on the security side; plus GISP for location intelligence and AIGP for AI governance. No single credential covers this territory — the differentiated career path is fluency across two or three of these domains, not depth in just one.
