Overview:

The goals of this spreadsheet are to document major multilateral intiatives on space security. To date, this sheet tracks two initiatives:

1) The ''No First Placement of Weapons in Outer Space'' pledge proposed by the Russian Federation in 2004 and subsequent UN Resolutions, hereafter refered to as NFP. Tracking NFP includes vote sponsors, voting stances from UN States, and updating this tracker with subsequent draft resolutions or votes. Currently, 33 countries have made pledges to not be the first to place a weapon in space.

2) The ''Destructive Direct-Ascent Anti-Satellite Missile Testing'' pledge proposed by the United States in April 2022 and subsequent UN Resolution A/RES/77/41. Tracking this resolution includes vote sponsors, voting stances from UN States, and updating this tracker with subsequent draft resolutions or votes. Currently, 38 countries have made pledged to not conduct destructive anti-satellite tests.
