Goal/Focus of Unit:
Students.....
Will be researching some of their favorite films through a different lens than the average movie-goer. Students will be discussing the work and dedication of cast and crew to create a film, and how those people create works of art for the public to enjoy. Students will complete a research project on their favorite film, researching more about the making of their film instead of just facts about the final production.

Unit 2: A Complete Guide to Digital Film Making
"Pre-Production"

Goal/Focus of Unit:
Students.....
Will be starting their investigation into the process of film making. They will be introduced to the first of 3 phases of film, that of "Pre-Production". Using a scaffolding method, students will follow the teacher's lead in creating a short film while creating a "Complete Guide to Digital Film Making", something the student will use throughout the remainder of the course.

Using a scaffolding method, students will follow the teacher's lead in creating a short film while creating a "Complete Guide to Digital Film Making", something the student will use throughout the remainder of the course.
