4	This ‘Enterprise-level' data collection template serves as Argidius' primary measurement tool for understanding how partners impact small business growth. It can take time for change to manifest at the business performance level, and we are keen to observe how businesses fare after participating in an initiative. Please use the blank template if this is the first time reporting, otherwise for iterative reports please use the latest version sent to you by Argidius. Argidius requires partners who work directly with enterprises to collect the following enterprise-level on at least an annual basis (based on a calendar year January-December) for the baseline year before the enterprise takes part in the initiative, the year the business participated, and for the two years after taking part in an initiative. As an example, for a business participating in an initiative in 2016 we would require the following reported data: Revenue, Employment and Investment data for the year prior to participation: January 1st to December 31st 2015 Revenue, Employment and Investment data for the year the business started participation: January 1st to December 31st 2016 Revenue, Employment and Investment data for the year after starting the intervention: January 1st to December 31st 2017 Revenue, Employment and Investment data for the second year after to the intervention: January 1st to December 31st 2018 PLEASE SEE EXAMPLE TEMPLATE FOR A FINAL ENTERPRISE LEVEL REPORT EXAMPLE This data is held confidentially, and allows the Argidius team to aggregate fields such as incremental revenue growth, investment raised and job creation, as well as analyze the portfolio, considering variables such as geography, type of intervention, type of enterprise, sector, cost of initiative and size. This data collection and analysis will allow Argidius to draw upon an evidence base to better understand factors and initiatives that influence and impact small business growth. We expect our partners to have the internal monitoring capacity to collect this information, and to leverage their own relationships with the enterprises worked with to collect business performance data to understand the initiative's impacts on businesses performance (while extolling the benefits of businesses monitoring their own performance data). It is important that all initiative staff are aware of the data collection process, importance, and understand how to sense check data quality. While we encourage all partners to join the Global Accelerator Learning Initiative (http://www.andeglobal.org/?page=Accelerators), this is a separate, external, time-bound research initiative, and we expect partners participating in this research to still collect business performance data themselves for both internal learning, and for submission to Argidius. From our current partners’ feedback we have learnt it is important to engage participant enterprises around data collection requirements as early as possible (during the application process) explaining that they will be required to provide this information for the year prior to participation, and the duration described above, and that this information is confidential, thus normalizing the process. This is opposed to the experience some partners have had previously when the first time of asking for the data is one year after participation, resulting in participants’ perception that this is an unusual ask, and therefore potential reluctance or refusal in providing data. It should be noted that Partners’ feedback has also highlighted that the data collection can be a valuable process for the businesses! Specific guidance for filling out the template is provided in comments across the column headings. 10	Client or Company Name	What is the name of individual entrepreneur or enterprise?
11	Country	Country of headquaters if in multiple countries.

13	Urban or Rural	Is the enterprise based in an large city/urban area or a small town/rural area?
14	Existing Business or Idea	Business status at start of intervention: Did this business have sales before you started working with them? Yes= existing business, no=idea
15	Enterprise Start-up Year	In what year did the enterprise begin to generate revenue? YYYY. How old is the enterprise? If the start up year is not available: estimate based on year formalized.
16	Date formalized	Date enterprise was formally registerd, or leave blank if unregistered or unknown.
17	Social or Environmental Enterprise?	Does the business have an explicit social or environmental mission
18	Partner Service Line	Which level of service did the enterprise receive (if more than 1 level of service is offered)? Please indicate where a business has received multiple levels (using &) or cycles (using a multiplier ) As an example, if there was: ‘’Entry’’ service for very small businesses and ‘’Growth’’ service for medium businesses: over time we may expect to see a combination of Entry, Growth, Entry & Growth, or even Entry2.
19	Cohort/ Intervention start date	What date did the enterprise start receiving services DD/MM/YYYY. If the exact day is not known, round the date to the 1st of the month when the intervention started.
20	Cohort/ Intervention end date	When did (or will) the service provision to the enterprise cease DD/MM/YYYY. If the business dropped out during initiative please indicate here with DNF.
21	Baseline Year	To establish the baseline year, if the intervention start date is before 30th June of a given year, take the prior year, if the start date is after 30 June of a given year, take that year as the baseline. For businesses already receiving support, this is the year before Argidius funding was directed to the enterprise (or organization more broadly).
22	Revenues of Enterprises Assisted	What were the enterprise's revenues for each year? Please include revenues for the baseline year (for start-ups, this should be 0) and for all subsequent years. Where enterprises have ceased operations, please 1.enter a zero for the first full year of closure, and leave following years blank. 2.Select Closed in the Reporting status column (CF). Where data is not available, please 1. leave the cell blank, 2. Select Unknown in the Reporting status column (CF) and 3.enter the reason in the comments column
23	Currency	What currency is used to report revenue and investment figures?
24	Enterprise Full-Time Employees	How many full-time employees were on payroll for the enterprise at the end of each year? This should include those employees who work at least 20 hours per week. Where the figure is not known please leave blank. Please only enter zero if no employees
25	Enterprise Part-Time Employees	Part time employement data is optional. How many part-time employees were on payroll for the enterprise at the end of each year? Part-time also includes contractors and seasonal workers where deemed relevant.
26	Value of Finance Mobilized for Enterprise	How much external financing was mobilized for the enterprise from external sources in each year? Please also enter the currency and the type. If multiple types of financing were agreed, please select Other.
27	Seeking external finance?	Is the enterprise looking for external finance?
28	Reporting status	Active means enterprise is active and operating. Closed means enterprise has ceased operations. Unknown means that enterprise is not sharing data but assumed operational. Completed means that enterprise has completed reporting requirements (+ 3 years after baseline). Note: Even if enterprise has completed reporting requirements, please insert data if there is data available.
