The Parade of Excellence is a fun way to calibrate success as a leader. Created from a collaboration of best practices across the nation, it is a tool to measure your chapter's impact through well-rounded programming. The following guidelines have been formulated as the criteria for this program.
6
7
GENERAL RULES
8
9
This Parade will cover Membership, Chapter Management, Personal Growth, Leadership Development, and Community, as well as participation in state, national and international events. Top chapters will be recognized at Mid-Year and Year-End state conventions.
10
11
Rankings – All local chapter submissions will be ranked by action item credits, most improved, and first timer submissions.
12
13
• Credits – All credits for Action Items will be validated by the POE Program Manager to determine top chapter.
14
Note: The efficiency will be calculated as a percentage of participation of the referenced action item list.
15
16
• Most Improved (Year End Award) – Any chapter which has improved by 20% from the mid-year submission will be ranked and given recognition.
17
18
• First Timer Submission – Any chapter participating in the program for the first time will be given recognition.
19
Note: A First Timer Submission is considered any chapter which has not submitted a POE competition form during the previous four submission periods. Example: Mid-Year Convention = 1 Submission Period.
20
21
Financial Responsibility – All local chapters participating in this program must be current with all financial responsibilities to the State on or by the submission deadline to be considered for recognition.
22
23
Supporting Documentation – All supporting materials must accompany the checklist when submitted unless otherwise stated. Supporting documentation can include sign-in sheets (with actual signatures), agenda, newsletter, article, or email promoting the event.
24
25
Submission – The Parade of Excellence submission must include 1) Action Item Checklist; 2) Supporting Documentation; and 3) Certified by the Chapter President. All attached documents should be PDF files and clearly labeled. Example: Sign-in sheet for chapter planning session.
