Explanation: Update: January 11, 2017 - Since beginning this project last year I have moved to a farm in California for three months, secretly visited home for two weeks, moved to a farm in Washington state for three months, spent three weeks just outside of Seattle, and moved back to Philadelphia. Needless to say, 2016 was not a year of successful routines or projects! It turns out when one is moving every three months it tends to have a negative trend on habits. I am still really happy with the beginning of this project and would love to continue it and see how the trends change over time so I am leaving it here and will update it whenever I can. (Will I adapt to a nomadic, very unstructured lifestyle and go back to successful goal completion? Time will tell!). So far in 2017, seasonal depression has taken over and I've accomplished next to nothing as far as personal goals go. Again, I'll keep tracking and see how life changes correlate to goal changes. Thanks for following along.

I started the Goal Progress sheet in January 2016 as a goal tracker for myself after seeing something similar in someone's bullet journal. I recently saw a TED Talk by Derek Sivers that talks about keeping goals to yourself in order to achieve them, but I am also a big fan of accountability so I am not sure where I stand on that issue.

What I DO know, is that I find accountability really helpful. I decided to keep a version of my goal sheet here so the public can view it, but to hide the labels of most goals so I am letting people see my progress but not necessarily saying what the progress is specifically for.

The 3000 Mile Goal Sheet is obviously less secret and may be less interesting to most, but since that is a goal I have talked about publicly for a while I decided to add it. If you don't know about it, I tried to walk 3000 miles in 2015 and failed ... so I'm trying again this year! You will likely see changes to both sheets over time, design aspects of the Progress sheet will change here and there and habits may be added or disappear over the months. In the Mileage Goal Sheet you'll be able to watch me shift my expected monthly miles around as the year progresses and I see the actual mile totals building up and adjust accordingly.

Because I am also keeping a private sheet like this, there may be some days where I forget to update both, but I'll try to keep it as up to date as possible. If there's ever a long stretch of time where things are missing feel free to email me at TamaraHala@gmail.com or Tweet me @TamaraHala and ask me if I am forgetting to update or failing at everything! I'm also happy to answer any questions you may have in either of those places!
