I experienced an issue with the security guard associated with the office at the site. He stopped me from trespassing on their private property and asked me to come inside to explain what I was doing so that I could get approval to go through with the test. It is a 'substance abuse' facility. I met with a supervisor and she authorized me to proceed. It was a very minor hassle; they were nice people.

Whoa!!! It was freezing cold! The location looked good; the incoming high tide gives the place a nicer than usual look. (High Tide 4:26 AM at CBBT). I did not have my water temperature thermometer.

I did some light trash pickup around the site and dumped the waste at the Aquarium. The site looked good on my side of the river, but the other side showed a lot a trash accumulating on the river bank near the apartments.

Good news -- there were no interactions with the security guards on site. Nice work Emily.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a photo of the site.
The tide was low exposing an abundance of trash on both sides of the river.
Water samples were obtained and dropped off at the aquarium.
Due to the lower water levels it was more difficult to get to the deeper areas. The silt/sludge on the river bottom made it very difficult to walk to the deeper areas. Almost lost my boots in the muck!
I was accompanied by my 4-year old grandson, Blake. We collected a fair amount of trash, but there was much more than we were able to collect.

Good news – again, there were no interactions with the security guards on site. I think we can close out this issue.
The tide was low exposing an abundance of trash on both sides of the river.
Water samples were difficult to obtain due to the low water level. The deeper areas were largely inaccessible due to muck.

It was snowy, very windy and icy cold! So cold, in fact, that we were not dressed properly and unable to spend extra time to pick up the trash around the site.Otherwise, the site looked good. The combination of high tide and high winds had the river banks brimming with water.

High Tide 1:27 PM at Broad Bay Canal. Variable showers.
Again, the general appearance of the area was very trashy. After pulling the sample, I collected trash. The water level was very high. A kayak would have been very productive for picking trash. The PVC pole was still there (it is most likely used for some type of water monitoring).
