UPDATE: Since beyond is a lot worse and 8 mod maps are a bit unreliable for income mid-league.
I have a new mid-league strategy I'm testing out. You can check it out on the tab to the right.

Gilded div/ambush/carto and rusted elder (Reliquary over Elder if you are running very high rarity on your build (300+)

beyond + 25% magic pack size + 500% box quant + 2 boxes, corrupted (8 mod over magic pack size if you plan to farm your own 8 mods or sell them on TFT)

In my experience (3.21) the total investment is paid off from:

selling 8 mod maps on TFT (50% of investment paid). You can sell regular Crimson Temples for like 5c each if you don't run the 8 mod sextant.

beyond currency (roughly 15-20% of investment paid. tainted fusings are 6:1 Divines and others sell for 1-10 chaos each)

Raw Divines (the rest of the investment paid and profit at a rate of around 1 in every 8-10 maps. singular focus + carto scarab is like a baby nem 3)

Delirium Orbs (reroll bad ones with harvest to stuff like skittering/div)

Other small things (other divination cards from crimson, cluster jewel bases, bubblegum currency, eldritch currency, etc)

Profit per hour is 2-3ish divines until Apothecary (3 divines if you sell all your maps but they usually sell slow)

probably 5+ if you're someone who unironically values your entire exilence tab

Apothecary every ~85 maps (count was 9)

Apothecary every ~66 maps (count is 5)

Raw Divine every ~10 maps

Raw Divine every ~10 maps

maps take like 2-3 minutes each since we do barely any mechanics

crucible is annoying af since you have to do it after the delirium
and it forces you to backtrack

so with 0 breaks (not realistic at all) I dropped an apothecary every ~3 hours of mapping
