31	** We have spent days counting people as well as birds and found that, even if a volunteer is there to call everyone's attention to the log, fewer than half of our visitors sign in. Some show no interest in signing and some visitors never come inside.

39	While our migration numbers were down for most species, we definitly had a banner year for visitors. 41 states and Washington D.C. were represented. This number is consistant with past years. But the 28 foreign countries on the log is three times our usual number. West Virginia was first with 144 place names, followed closely by Virginia with 132. Maryland and North Carolina were next with 27 locations mentioned.
