Stichting DOENAll year roundHave supported various project in Community Food Systems, and we seem to enter their criteria. Two examples of grants on community food systems: 100 000$ and 200 000$.
Looks like an almost perfect fit - commons, sustainable food systems. Only possible gitch is a preference to mostly support food projects in Netherlands and East Africa. I will contact them to find out how significant a consideration this is for themOFN org & platform ?http://www.doen.nl/web/home-1.htmPriority: Kirsten checking geographic criteria - could focus on some internationalisation / africa focused roll-out, but i don't think we could demonstrate demand at this point

Skollsolicited referrals and nominations only. "The guidelines state the Skoll Foundation will not support new or early-stage business plans or ideas. Can you provide clarity about that requirement?
The Skoll Foundation funds only organizations that have already demonstrated impact, with proven innovations that can be scaled to catalyze large-scale change." Maybe best strategy is to network with some of the actual most successfull awardees who will probably be sollicited to nominate future potential awardees... But maybe wait to have a measurable impact in Australia so that we can extrapolate on a global impact.
Each Awardee receives a $1.25 million, three-year core support investment to scale their work and increase their impact. They also gain leverage through their long-term participation in a global community of visionary leaders and innovators dedicated to solving the world’s most pressing problems.http://www.skollfoundation.org/approach/https://docs.google.com/document/d/1R__pUalf_m8LL_-XM2PJXXMIGekjApDiX1B3zkXJy1g/edit

Acumen Down the track - debt investment.
"The patient capital Acumen provides is accompanied by a wide range of management support services nurturing the company to scale. Our aim in investing patient capital is not to seek high returns, but rather to jump-start the creation of enterprises that improve the ability of the poor to live with dignity."
Investment criteria: "Geography: Be located in or have significant operations or impact in East Africa, West Africa, India, Pakistan, or Latin America (launching soon)." > Not working for now anyway.
? Can we accept dept investment? Would it be ok if it's not equity but just debt? Patient investment?http://acumen.org/investments/investment-model/
