7/26/2017 18:56:36May 19, 2017 (west to east on Triumph Tiger 800XC's). A 20% chance of rain turned into a 5 state major storm with inches of rain and feet of snow at elevation. We had to duck south through Arizona and then rejoined the TAT near Bridges National Monument. Almost made it to Monticello but the Abajo Peak area was too muddy and snowy. Bikes were comically muddy, kinda fun. Was easy to find an alternative route with the GPS.All forest dirt roads in this area. Pretty. Not much around Monticello. Recommend the Line Camp Steakhouse for dinner and the Peace Tree Juice Cafe for breakfast.Abajo Peak can be too muddy if it has been raining (duh)!zjmikke
