Driver Checklist

52
Pits
53
Map your engine on/off button. Turn engine off if car will be serviced or parked for extended time.
54
Map your pit limiter on/off button. Pit limiter may already be on when jumping in the car!
55
Drive speed limit, don't rely on pit limiter.
56
Check in-car settings before you leave pits. (Brake bias, TC, etc...)
57
58
Passing & being passed
59
Don't race your opponent. The race is 24H long! Let them by.
60
Always keep on the inside when getting passed. If the passing car makes a mistake let them wash out on the inside. Otherwise they can take you out.
61
Lift off when the passing car is beside you to give them room to merge. HPDs misjudge their speed and merge too early!
62
When trailing another car (especially the HPDs), you lose downforce, and hence braking and turn in. Brake a bit earlier if following a car into a turn!
63
64
Stay safe
65
Focus on a steady pace. Drive 8/10 of your abilities.
66
*Upshift early* on corner exit to avoid wheel spin from curb hopping. Traction can brake, even with TC - 3
67
Go one higher in T1.
68
Go 3rd coming out of T6 before getting onto the banking.
69
Go 4th before exiting the bus stop.
70
Brake earlier, longer & less. Extend your margin of error, especially in T1.
71
Always make smooth steering inputs. If you go off track, don't jerk the steering wheel to get back on it.
72
Better to serve a penalty than to risk spinning and getting damage or into another car.
73
Don't tailgate. Assume car in front will spin. Leave a big gap.
74
75
Most of all, have fun!
76
We are not professionals. If we were, we'd already be celebrating from last weekend. ;)
77
If all of us get to drive at least once it will be a team victory!
78
Encourage each other and be patient. We are all of different skill levels, but part of the same team!
79
If we finish, I will have champagne ready! :p
