Audience term Scope note

All SNDefault value; general public; the whole population.

Business SNPeople or corporations engaged in commerce, trade or industry. This includes self-employed people.

Caregivers SNPeople or organisations engaged in the care of others, e.g. children, older people, people with disabilities or illnesses. Use 'Parents' for resources aimed at mothers, fathers or legal guardians.

Children SNPeople aged up to 14 years. Use 'Youth' for resources aimed at people aged 14-25 years.

Community groups SNGroups who provide services to, or represent the views of, specific community sectors.

Employees SNPeople working for another person or organisation for pay. Use 'Jobseekers' for resources designed to assist people seeking employment.

Employers SNPeople or organisations who employ others for wages.

Mäori SNPeople who identify with the Mäori ethnicity with or without other ethnicities.

Men SNAdult males.

Migrants SNPeople moving permanently from one country to another. Includes resources for people from non-English-speaking backgrounds or who have English as a second language.
