Call for Programming The ASEE Commission on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professional Development Committee welcomes faculty, staff, graduate students, and practitioners to share their expertise in promoting diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments in engineering education and the workplace. We are accepting proposals for the 2023 annual conference in Baltimore, Maryland, and our ongoing virtual series. We encourage all prospective facilitators to design interactive sessions that actively engage participants and provide actionable practices and strategies that motivate participants to enact meaningful change in their environment. If you are interested in submitting a workshop proposal for the annual conference, please submit your proposal by Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Each facilitator will meet a few weeks before the conference to prep for the sessions. We also secured a sponsor for the Distinguished Topical Plenary Session. This funding will go towards the conversational style setup requested by the speaker. We plan on providing the speaker with a small gift (i.e., Custom Crystal Protein) to demonstrate our appreciation for her talk on critical mentorship in engineering education. Bri has been working with the conference planning team on the slides and flyer. She will update the CDEI calendar to help promote the sessions at the conference. Bri reached out to the program chairs to identify sessions focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice. She received details for 12 sessions hosted across 5 divisions (e.g., MIND, COED, ERM, Student, and International).
