I'd love for us to use more activities where we tap into the kids' creativity. One of my favorite activities was when kids designed their own nudibranchs or sharks with super powers; they drew them, gave them scientific names and told us stories about the superpowers. Maybe we can get kids to create new marine animals, hybrids, sea monsters, etc?
