This table sets out the bake times and different pan sizes that can be used for my Vanilla Cake recipe

and Lemon Cake recipe. All cakes are baked at 180C/350F (160C fan).

1. For a 2 layer cake, having each layer at least 2.5cm / 1" is a good height - once frosting/filling is added, the cake will be a good height.

2. All pans should be greased then lined with baking paper / parchment paper (except bundt pan - grease and flour well).

3. Bundt cake is not as fluffy as cake pans because it takes so long to bake. Still soft and tender.

4. Excellent option for serving a larger group

5. 3 x 20cm/8" pans - bake time is 23 minutes if all pans fit on one shelf. Otherwise, put 2 on middle shelf and 1 pan on shelf underneath.

Bake top 2 pans for 23 minutes, remove from oven. Move bottom pan up and bake for another 2 minutes then remove.
