I'm coming in as a first-year bioengineering Ph.D. student in August, 2024. I grew up near New Delhi in India, and am finishing up a gap year back home right now. I'm really passionate about using research to create tangible change for underserved communities back home. During my Ph.D., I am excited to spend time on the weekends (possibly with my future roommate?!) checking out open-mics, dance floors, drag bars, book club meetings, improv jams, hikes, clothing swaps and more! I'm medium-tidy, but extremely respectful of boundaries and private vs shared space designations. I spent most of my life playing soccer at an academy back home and came here to study while still being able to play soccer at a good level. I'm currently the captain of the Foothill soccer team and work full-time as a soccer coach as well. I also like to work out so I'm not home too much as I spend most of my days in class, on the soccer field, or in the gym. I'm extremely clean and can't stand dirty common areas. I'm pretty quiet at home and don't have people over often as I like to go out to do something with friends rather than sitting at home with them. I like meeting new people and making more connections in the US as I'm still relatively new to the area. I have a car so I need a parking space. I value my privacy so unfortunately I don't want to share a bedroom with someone.
