12/13/2024Ento emailHello, here's the situation my cat ended up catching fleas from the neighbor's dog she's an indoor cat well I took her the fleas but afterwards I noticed that there was a flea that appeared to be on my body when water hit it it went underneath my skin I thought I was hallucinating I thought I was losing my mind and I noticed throughout all of my skin larvae being expelled and I'm currently living in Lodi Ohio I called the exterminator and even they were stumped they've heard of it but no one has ever experienced it in fact one guy I hung up on because he was laughing thought I was making things up I looked at the jigger in Africa Central America where this thing is native I have no idea how this thing got into my house and how this thing infested myself I have been slowly deconning my house with talak and covering my skin to exfoliate all of the left particles of these little fucking assholes. I am saving slides and samples if you guys are more interested in evaluating this from a clinical perspective. This is an adaptation this is weapon grade type shit. I'm a veteran I'm a beekeeper so I know basic insect principles and diatomaceous t Earth would not touch these things neither would a shitload of bug bombs spray anything I had to go on Amazon as the exterminator is using the same things but here's my phone number I get a lot of spammers shoot me a text from your personal phone I'll get back to you I'm going to figure out where I can send these things to be evaluated. I will attach a few pictures I know my macro sucks on my film but this is our microscopic look up jigger not chiggar . This is not a joke. Let's chat. CDC was a waste 2166339995 Robert hickling. I have a background of microbiology I have a nursing background I know basic disease process I know etymology from beekeeping so yeah this is on another level I think there needs to be awareness to this and I don't know who else to reach out to you so I'm reaching out to you guys thank youAdviced accordingly, that we can not recieve samples from peoples/animals body.

9/12/2024Ento emailIn my backyard, they emerged in early June this year and were gone by mid-August. I noticed this reduction too. There are several reasons why, mainly we had an abnormally warm spring this year and this may trigger the JB emergence followed by cold weather disrupting the emergence killing most of the grubs. Also, prevailing dry conditions make it harder for them to emerge. that’s my theory. There may be other reasons as to why there is a reduction. If you apply some control measures last year, you will notice this reduction too. There is no actual research done on this, yet. Here is an article published by Purdue JB population reduction."I usually kill from 200-300 Japanese beetles every summer as they feed and mate on a variety of plants. However, there has been an enormous reduction in their numbers, more than 95%, this summer. I have not read of this reduction occurring elsewhere. I’m curious enough to inquire. explanation?"

7/23/2024Cincinati, OHEnto emailgo to folderReed Johnson replied -"The smooth shiny looking bee has had all of its hairs broken off through lots of fighting with other bees. That’s a typical look for a robber bee, and this bee may be from another colony and is trying to steal honey. It is also possible that it is a guard bee from your own colony and is removing an intruder?

Anyway, there is clearly robbing going on, which is typical this time of year. You’ll want to check on the status of the colony and reduce the size of the entrance to help those bees rebuff the robbers.
"

7/10/2024Cincinati, OHEnto emailgo to folderLooks like the beekeeper is inexperienced. " Not all genuinely “Africanized” bees are aggressive and not all “European” bees are docile. On top of that the process of identifying genuine “Africanized” bees is fraught with problems. At the end of the day he’s doing the right thing – not tolerating highly aggressive bees. Depending on his situation it may not be necessary to destroy the colony. Requeening is often suggested, but that’s really difficult in a big mean colony. He could aggressively do “dirty splits” with the mean colony to make a number of smaller colonies, if he’s got the equipment to do that. Small colonies are always more gentle than large colonies and when they raise new queens those will be mated with the local drone population. Studies have found that the drones a queen mates with have a great influence on the colony’s temperament. Destroying a colony is not easy work either – if he goes this route the best method is probably to shake the bees into a big tub of soapy water. "-Reed Johnson. contaminated colony with Africanized honey bees. He covered the colony with a net and going to kill it.
