This pattern is intended for intermediate crocheters that are comfortable with colour changes and handling multiple colours of yarn in tapestry
30
crochet.
31
32
The pattern involves making 5 individual pieces and 2 straps which are then sewn or crocheted together. The only stitch used is the half double crochet
33
(option for single crochet - graph provided at the end of this document). There is no increasing or decreasing, just making rectangles!
34
35
The resultant tote bag measures approximately 11 x 12 x 1.5 inches (length x height x width) when using DROPS Paris cotton yarn.

MATERIALS
48
49
- 4mm crochet hook
50
- Tapestry needle
51
- Cotton, aran weight yarn in 4 colours
52
I used:
150g of DROPS Paris Cotton yarn in Sea Green (Background Color)
53
100g of DROPS Paris Cotton yarn in Beige
54
50g of DROPS Paris Cotton yarn in Almond (brown)
55
50g of DROPS Paris Cotton yarn in Black
56
Scrap black and white/lighth beige yarn for "everything bagel" seeds (optional)
57
NOTES:
58
- You can use any size or type of yarn. Please use a hook 0.5mm to 1mm smaller than the recommended size on the yarn tag.
59
- Bulkier yarn will result in a larger bag. Cotton is recommended to acrylic for this project as it will hold better.

For the tote bag, this graph fills an entire side (front/bag) of the tote bag. However, this graph can be used for other projects as well.
