The partners helped registering more than 60,100 people on the spot and additional 3500 vaccination support through local hospitals working with 10 hospitals while managing 25 on the spot vaccine help desks and 4 mobile help desks. 4 autorickshaws, 2 vans traveled more than 1000 km with public announcements covering 5 cities of the state.
In addition, in Nesco Jumbo facilities, 125 WASH basins converted to elbow operated for Covid positive patients under treatment.
Mahapeconet partner PROJECT MUMBAI has launched a health care infra boost fundraiser to support municipal and state Hospitals and doctors. In the last 24 days: The platform has provided five oxygen concentrators, over 3000 PPE kits, 15 high frequency oxygen machines, medical consumables , an ECG machine, ten wheel chairs to healthcare institutions including NESCO jumbo COVID centre, Seven hills Hospital, Podar hospital, Elizabeth hospital , the MCGM run HB Trauma Care Centre and St George Hospital. Over 200 grocery kits provided to families which have lost employment due to COVID.
MahaPeconet Program Secretariat YUVA recently conducted a rapid assessment in the bastis YUVA work in MMR. The situation is grim and getting worse. The strategies of ration support for most vulnerable population groups, broad level vaccine drives and healthcare related support, that PECOnet partners are adopting is critically important.

Status report: Impact COVID and Non COVID health systems of M East wardStudy of WASH Facilities in 26 most vulnarable Slums of M East ward. Formed local forums to demand frequent cleaning. Marking toilets for COVID 19 infected persons in public toilets One Community Resilience Fello for 700 households, completed survey of 26000 HH and now maintaining a map and register of families in need of jobs and skills Nov to Dec 2020: 56 FGDs on existance and experience of lockdown. De-bursting myths of NRC and COVID link. A communication kit developed for CRFs. 14th Jan Survey of co-morbidity, soci-economic status and presence of required documents for accessing over 120 govt schemes is completed.
Based on survey a list of 45+ and 60+ individuals with comorbidities was submitted to MCGM. MCGM has dedicated a separate bus for project to provide pick up and drop service for citizens in informal settlements.
CLAP-iCALL helpline was speically created helpline for communities in M East. Trainined consulers pick up calls to address material needs such as ration, medcines and then ask if callers need mental health support. over 3000 calls responded and a functional updated resorse directory available for consulers. This helpline is now promoted by M East Ward office. Could be scaled up for MCGM staff members working under stress.
Possible to star a special line for health care workers. This is to just have a timely support to doctors, paramedics going through current phase of helplessness.
