The Board of Trustees is currently debating whether or not to put video of the HOA's meetings on the website. What are your thoughts? In favor, opposed to the practice or don't really care?

This neighborhood is full of working parents. The video would help us stay in touch with what is going on.
32
2
is it possible for people to call in? at work we have the blue jeans platform-it works well for the most part to bring us all together. But I don't know how practical or how costly it will be to do this for KF
33
3
It is a great idea for those who cannot make it to the meetings in person. The more information provided to the community, the better the community will be.
34
4
Live Feed on Facebook might engage residents better
35
5
I would suggest that the sight be password protected
36
6
A video where we can also interact and send in questions
37
7
Gives people the opportunity to watch if they want. Would also be helpful to have it linked to the computer so those watching can leave a question that can be answered.
38
8
And add live captions
39
9
would people actually watch? Expense?
40
10
Not sure how I feel. I think we need to encourage more people to attend meetings. Perhaps video would help address transparency & participation in community decisions & conversations.
41
11
Don’t think I would watch them
42
12
i'd like to come out to hoa's meeting but with a kid at home. it's hard for me to come out without getting a babysitter. video of meeting would be a great idea for people to get involved.
43
13
The Board and President should be less paranoid about residents potentially misusing these videos. Check out the policy on similar videos from Rockville Council meetings -- you will find none exists.
44
14
It's 2018. It's time to get out of the Stone Age.
45
15Why not.
46
16
Transparency is a good policy.
47
17
I could care less
48
18
While it may a good idea - definitely opposed to the practice. There are a number of privacy laws that I believe should be cleared by the HOA's attorney before this practice is allowed.
49
19
What is the cost benefit? If people are really interested, then they should attend.
50
20
Much needed
51

I've seen BOT members and President (or spouse) say "Just attend the meeting" which is an arrogant comment. I work, have a family, volunteer with other areas. Maybe I don't have time to go on a Wednesday night to a meeting. However, that doesn't mean I'm not interested.
52
22
In general I favor transparency and accessibility, but the reality is I probably won’t watch.
53
23
Timing poor..usually cannot attend meetings.. .minutes would be a secondary choice
54
24
Transparency, please. Many of us simply cannot attend. But we are definitely interested.
