This document provides details of the Math Matrix Micro-Credential tables and fields that are available in the Data Lagoon. The Math Matrix Micro-Credential is an online, flexible, competency-based learning platform that enhances K-12 math education with engaging resources and collaborative professional development for educators to improve student outcomes and expand future education and career opportunities.

The Math Matrix Micro-Credential included the following courses:

- Fostering Mathematics Proficiency (K-12): foundational knowledge of math pedagogy and evidence-based methods
- Algebraic Reasoning (6-12): focus on algebra, foundational knowledge of equations & functions, and algebraic habits
- Number Sense and Operations (K-5): focus on whole numbers, place value, operations and fractions
- [only for the 2024-45 academic year]Practicum (K-12): focus on providing evidence of application to teacher practice

For the 2024-2025 academic year:
For all courses except the Practicum, there are 4 required assignments that occur in this order throughout the course:
- Pre-Test: This is a forced-choice item assessment used to assess growth and developed exclusively for each course.
- Midterm Assignment: This is a job-embedded, practice-based, written or audio-recorded assignment evaluated on a rubric.
A score of 80% or higher is required to continue in the course.
- Final Assignment: This is a job-embedded, practice-based, written or video-recorded assignment evaluated on a rubric.
A score of 80% or higher is required to continue in the course.
- Post-Test: This is the second administration of the Pre-Test. A score of 80% or higher is required to complete the course.

For the 2025-2026 academic year:
For both courses, there is a pre and post-test the same as for the 2024-2025 academic year. Prior to the post-test there are 5 job-embedded assignments. Each of the assignments and the post-test require an 80% or higher in order to gain mastery in the course and ultimately earn the micro-credential. See the link below for course objectives and assignment prompts for details.

*Note: Video/audio-based assignment responses are not available for analysis. Only scores are available.

Each tab in this docuement provides details on tables and fields available, and a list of the survey items educators responded to.
