Fall Fundraiser (Boosterthon Glow Run)Kick-off: 9/12, Run: 9/21The Fall Fundraiser occurs in September and (no pressure) the entire year's budget depends on its success. The PTO contracts with a fundraising event company to successfully carry out this important effort. Volunteers on this committee will 1.) help decorate the school to generate student enthusiasm, 2.) help out at refreshment stands and 3.) assist Committee Chairs in all aspects of executing the event on various days throughout the two week fundraising period.

Family Fun NightsFall: an evening between 11/13-11/20. Spring: 3/20/19Book Fairs (held twice a year) are important sources of funding for our school library. Without these, our school Librarian, Angie Towle, would not be able to provide the amazing resources she does for SRE students. The PTO plans and executes Family Fun Nights to generate excitement around the Book Fairs. Themes vary from year to year but always support the Book Fair theme. Volunteers on this committee can expect to help Committee Chairs in all stages of planning and execution from creating the advertising bulletin board to securing food truck vendors and running events.
6
ClubsRuns for 8 weeks, final week is week before Spring BreakThe Clubs committee will plan, organize and schedule a selection of after school clubs for SRE students in all grade levels. Each club will be sponsored and run by an SRE staff member. Volunteers will help check-in students and parent volunteers, will serve as classroom monitors and will assist students in safely getting through the carpool pick-up line at the end of club meetings. Clubs will begin meeting in late January and will end just before Spring Break. Planning, however, begins in the Fall.
7
HospitalityThroughout the yearVolunteers on this committee will help brighten teachers and staff members days throughout the year. Volunteers will work closely with Mrs. Jay to deliver various surprises to classrooms during the school day.

K-3 Activity Nights12/14/2018; 4/19/2019This committee is a favorite with the youngest students at SRE. K-3 students are invited to attend a screening of an age appropriate movie after hours at SRE. Committee Chairs plan the event but volunteers will help manage check-in, check-out and behavior during the movie.
9
4/5 Socials10/26/2018These events give SRE 4th and 5th graders an opportunity to socialize after school hours. Events vary but the idea remains the same: fun for the older kids! Volunteers will assist with everything from planning to monitoring students the night of the event.
10
Spring Fundraiser: TBD4/27/2019In past years, the Spring Fundraiser has been an Auction & Dinner Event for SRE parents. Some years it has been a carnival for the entire school to enjoy. The exact flavor of the event will be determined later in the fall but it will no doubt be a blast for the Smoky Row community. Volunteers will help with all stages of the event from planning to execution.
