A meeting room with proper chairs would have been nice. Sign-up processes were chaotic early on and the website stopped working during the workshop.

More diverse topics and open discussion, compared to past summer school.
The theory presentations, but only because I was less interested or involved with the topics.
I did more, "how to handle data" or analysis technic presentations instead of software tutorials would be preferable.
Not remove, but equally distribute all presentation types to be fair.

The banquet was a very poor experience and felt highly over priced for what it turned out to be.

The basf2 and gbasf2 tutorials.
All the other lectures. They were WAY over my head. Not just the theory lectures, pretty much everything.
Tips for ssh'ing from a Windows PC or a Mac to a Linux computer. What programs have people found best for that? I still don't really understand how I'm supposed to access a lot of what I need from my personal computer, which meant I was very limited in what I could do at the summer school.
Most of the theory lectures.
I feel like it should have been clear to the organizers that most of the presentations were way over students’ heads (not just the theory lectures -
everything), given that every presentation devolved into a back-and-forth between the professors in the room, to the exclusion of students who were not at that level of understanding. This seems antithetical to the purpose of a summer school. Overall it was a pretty miserable and demoralizing week for me. The only talks I felt were really helpful (and the only talks I was remotely able to follow) were the computing tutorials. Also, please be better about running things on time. It reflects poorly on the organizers when we’re consistently more than an hour over time by the end of the day. It’s also a little disrespectful to the participants. The number of times I heard “Yes, you’re over time, but keep going” or “I know we’re out of time, but just one more question,” I wanted to start screaming. This also cut into the working sessions in the afternoon, which I think would've been much more helpful for me than all of the lectures.

The dormitory accommodation was very spartan, which I understand, but housing really needed to provide a more adequate list of what we needed to bring with us vs. what is provided. No trashcan, handsoap, or hand towels were provided, but neither did the list we were given indicate that we would need to bring those things. Also, I would have really liked it if the coffee breaks had included hot water for tea. The banquet and the observatory excursion were great!
Thank you to the organizers! I know this must've been a lot of extra work for you, so thank you for volunteering your time to put this together. :)

More talk on detectors with clear explanations of the concepts used. Also talks should be more oriented towards students
Few talks on statistical concepts used in particle physics should be added. There should be a list of some pre-defined topics divided among few working groups as done in starter-kit workshop in June/2018 B2GM.

Hands on component and interaction. Having experts from Germany/Australia.
More organized breakout sessions could have been useful.

Length of school was good. Coordinate future schools with gaps in Belle II run schedule.

The accommodation was new, and had potential to be good conference accommodation, but a few things could be learned. Such as: providing trash cans in rooms and providing linen as standard. Not providing such things is fine for summer students coming to Cincinnati for longer stays, but for conference attendees coming from around the globe for a four day meeting should be included.

Nice mix of theory and practical introduction to looking at the data
Transitions between talks and length discipline wasted time and reduced impact (and some material therefore had to be truncated)
A "pre boot camp" to get everyone to a basic functional in advance might help to reduce audience scatter in what covered in the practical sections.
No.
Perhaps "worked problem" sections, where assign people to groups to solve a simple, practical example based upon what presented?

Suggest sending out prerequisites further in advance, and perhaps offering online sessions to coach those struggling to complete those, so that those attending can be at least minimally functional in advance (so can devote precious time together to actual coding/analysis/problem solving).

Also, if adopt a "team" approach to problem solving, perhaps pre-assign so that those on teams can coordinate (could even instill some pride by having teams compete to demonstrate their solution to given problems).

The theory talks were well chosen
Some topics (like tracking) could have better speakers
There should be some form of exercises to keep the students engaged in the afternoon.

The theory lectures were very good. The material was presented in a very clear and understandable way.
There should be more direction during the working sessions. This could include some example analysis topics and goals for students to work toward. I think few people were actually working during these sessions.
The student presentations at the end of the week is a great idea.

B2StarterKit style sessions were great for myself, as I've not had Belle II analysis experience, just the old Belle style analysis.
The organization/timelines were a bit poor. For example I went out of my way to stay through Saturday since there were apparent PI and group meetings, but they never materialized.
The student presentations were a great idea, but I think there wasn't really enough time for students to develop something entirely at the summer school, so perhaps slightly more time could have been allocated to that, with perhaps some parallel meetings for more senior people so that everyone had something to do at all times.
No, just rebalancing a bit.
I thought the format was pretty good, modulo comments I already made above.

The quality of the cafeteria food was fine but we had way too many people for the single register, so I ended up going to subway frequently instead.
The observatory trip was really a highlight.
I would have preferred a more accurate schedule, even if it meant trying to fit fewer talks and activities in, as it made it very hard to accommodate travel and other meetings.
Thanks for all the hard work organizing! I really enjoyed myself and learned quite a lot.

I did not know what is the current issue on Belle II Experiment before I attend this summer school. Thanks to lectures provided, I could understand b->s l+l- is a significantly important channel in searching New Physics. The lectures with Jupyter notebook were beneficial as well.
I like everything given in the program, but theory lectures were hard for me.
If a preliminary lecture for theories is given for novices like me, it would enhance the understanding of following theory lectures.
No, everything I learned in the program was beneficial.
I would appreciate if more time is allocated to software along with analysis.
